"Guys I can't wait for the show! I'm so excited!" Isaac shouted during the retrospect rehearsal. Every band member seemed to be very excited to play the show. Except for Simone. Her mind was elsewhere, or should I say, with someone else.
"Earth to Simone" Mark laughed. "Whats going on with you, you seem to be so distracted" he said. "Yeah I'm sorry, I'm feeling a bit off. Mind if I go home early today?" she said. "No problem Simone, call if you need anything!" Mark said and the others agreed with him. They all gave her a hug and she went home.
Simone's pov:
I can't believe I'm pregnant. I'm going to be a mother but I still feel like a child myself. I'm so excited to tell everyone but also, I'm a little scared.
Simone's pov ends.
"Hi Floor. I missed you how are you!?" the redhead said as she picked up her phone. "Hello Smoon, I'm good. How are you?" Floor answered. "I'm doing fine. I've been feeling a bit off today but I'm fine" Simone lied. She wasn't feeling fine. She felt very sick and she had to throw up every couple of hours. But she couldn't tell Floor yet. Not over the phone. She wanted to tell her best friend she's pregnant in real life.
"Are you sure you're ok? The guys called me because they're worried about you. They said you went home early today. Mark asked me to check on you because he thought you might not feel comfortable talking to them about certain things." Floor said in a worried tone. "I promise I'm okay. Thanks for checking on me Floortje. I'll see you next week when we rehearse Stabat Mater Dolorosa" Simone replied. "Alright then, you know you can always call me and talk to me about anything right?" Floor asked, still kinda worried. "I know I love you Floortje." Simone said in a cute voice. "I love you too, see you next week" Floor said and she hung up.
The next week Simone couldn't wait to finally hang out with Floor. She wanted to tell her best friend about her pregnancy so badly. She really needed another woman to talk to. She'd only told Oliver and her parents about her pregnancy. No one else knew yet and she felt a little lonely in her joy.
Finally the day that she would rehearse and hang out with Floor arrived.
"Oh gosh I need to hurry up. Floor will be here any minute and I've just thrown up all over the floor." She said to herself. She quickly cleaned herself and the floor up and touched up on her make up.
A few minutes later the doorbell rang. "Floortje!! I missed you so so much." she screamed while hugging her friend. "I missed you too. I'm so exicted to sing together again. It's been a while!" Floor said as she kissed Simone's cheek.
After a whole afternoon of rehearsing, singing and catching up Floor noticed that Simone was acting a little weird, a little secretive even.
"Smoon, are you ever going to tell me why you were feeling so bad last week. The guys seemed pretty worried about you" she said as she took Simone's hand. Simone turned so red when Floor asked her about this. "Look at you! You're turning red. Alright now you have to tell me" Floor said laughing. "Okay so I haven't told many people about this yet but I really want to tell you" Simone started.
She felt herself getting very emotional. She was telling Floor, her best friend for over 10years that she was pregnant. They had been through so much together, it kinda felt like full-circle for her. Floor noticed her getting emotional and quickly gave her a side-hug. "You can tell me anything" she said in a comforting tone.
"The reason why I've been a little off lately, is because I'm pregnant." she said while barely being able to speak because of her tears. It must be the hormones, she thought to herself.
"OMG you're pregnant! You're having a baby. I'M SO HAPPY FOR YOU." she said while also getting a little emotional. "Honestly Simone, I am so so so happy for you. You're going to be the best mommy ever. I love you." she cried as she hugged Simone and kissed her cheek. "I love you too. Thank you so much Floor." she said as she hugged back, still crying because of her happiness.
"I've been throwing up a lot and I can't stand the smell of food so that's why I didn't feel well enough to stay at the rehearsal last week. I'm pretty scared tho. I have to play a 3hr show in two weeks and I can barely make it through rehearsal." Simone said in a slightly worried tone. Floor looked at her with the sweetest smile, took her hand and said: " I'm glad you told me. I'll take care of you. You need to eat and sleep enough before the show so you'll have enough energy. Maybe take a break halfway through the show too. I'd say cut back on all the outfit changes, they really tire you out." Floor said to her lovingly.
"You got this babe. Don't doubt yourself. You're the strongest person I know. If anyone could handle this, it would be you." she added before pulling her into another hug.
Simone was so grateful to have someone like Floor. Their friendship meant the world to her. She knew she could tell Floor anything.
That night Floor decided to sleep over at Simone's house to make sure she was okay, since Oliver was out on tour with Kamelot. For the first time in four weeks, Simone was able to sleep through the night. Thanks to Floor who was there with her.
