Standing before the gleaming building that looked as imposing as the other office buildings around with the area. It seemed to reach up to the sky in a never ending series of glass windows and sunlight glare. Shaking his head, Namjoon looked back to the door. It was time to get to his internship that was working around his tutoring. He was still so angry at the situation that his newest student was in and it didn't seem to be any different as the days they met went on. As he was walking into the building and into the elevator he hit to go to the level that his Mentor was working on.
As the elevator took time to rise up the levels of the building his mind went back to Jeon Jungkook's situation. He felt like the boy was being ignored and barely fed anything healthy. He came to the house that the boy lived in with at least one other male. He had a feeling it was possibly either a caretaker or heaven forbid it be his blood relative. He clenched his hand as he thought about the blond male that had gone to sleep right after he got Jungkook a snack and attempted to tidy up the rooms while he worked with his student. He worried that once he left the boy had to cook dinner or fend for himself. He didn't want to find out he was right. That blonde had intrigued him until he found that he seemed to be one of those people that pushed everything to the younger to do.
As the doors opened on his floor Namjoon walked down to the office of his mentor. Walking in he looked at the producers studio and tried to let his stress from his tutoring go but something made it stick so much as he went about putting his bag away behind the desk that held one corner of the room. It had deadlines and such laid out across the top. As he was settling his bag and pulled out one clean black folder he saw something with his name on it laying on the desk.
Namjoon, please work on this set of tracks for your internship, due date is in 3 weeks, small mixtape for a young singer. With a nod to the note he picked it up and saw that there were a few disks with it for him to listen to for the song and vibe they were going for in the tape. Namjoon smiled glad he would have the chance to work on this one possibly solo. He felt a swell of pride that his Hyung and mentor had that faith in him. So once he had added the new project into the black folder he turned to see the mint haired hyung standing there.
"Alright time to get to work i see you saw your assignment for the next three weeks, lets finish the last track on the previous project then you can have run of the soundboards," Yoongi said as he moved towards the soundboard that took up the rest of the room. It was without a soundstudio due to this being the part where they layer extra sounds upon the music and amplified the voice as they saw fit.
Namjoon smirked as he made his way over. As he sat down he looked at his mentor and wondered if he could give him a piece of advice on non-producer questions.
"Hyung, I have a question that's about outside producer work," he said as he watched Yoongi take a deep breath and look at him turning halfway to him.
"Well go ahead it seems to have your focus split so spill the question and i will try to do what i can to mentor you," Yoongi said as he tapped his fingers lightly on the soundboard edge.
Nodding Namjoon took a moment to organize his thoughts. "I have a student that I believe is not getting the right attention or help at home, I've observed at least one guardian figure that seems to be pushing everything off on the student and feeding them nothing but junk food which is not good for studying, what can I do? Is there anything I can do to help my student?"
"Joon, you have only just met them, you don't know what's going on in their life so don't judge what you don't know, now lets get to work now," Yoongi said as he turned back to the soundboard and began to work his magic as he played through the track and added here or there and answered work related questions from here on out.
After his time at the Music studio Namjoon carefully went back to his own home. He took a deep breath as he drove there and thought about what he had been told by Yoongi. Not to judge based on one meeting with his student. As he drove home he decided that he would take the time to get to know his student a bit more and then support him as best as he could even if his own family wouldn't. Namjoon thought about it and then said "Everyone deserves to have someone in their corner after all," he smiled as he pulled into his own home and got out to unwind from the day.
