Chapter 6: Afterschool

Kieth's pov:

I remember walking out of school, heading towards my ride, soon seeing pico running up towards me. I stopped to wait for him as I turned to face him.

Pico soon caught up to me and looked down at me, saying "Hey kieth, I'm glad that I could catch up to you before you went on up ahead of me."

I gave him a soft, happy smile as I responded to this by saying, "I'm also pretty glad that you caught up to me, but I do have to go, or else my parents will get mad if I don't get home on time =_="

"Oh, understandable...I was actually kinda hoping we could walk home together..." he said with a kind of a sad look on his face, soon turning to his normal resting bitch face.

"Im so sorry, but I live to far away from the school to walk but uh, I could see if I could give you a ride-..."

Pico's Pov

Kieth had just offered to give me ride home. I nodded slightly and waited a bit for Keith to come back over. I soon saw Keith come back with a happy look on his face, soon hearing him say, "Good news, we can drop you off at you house. Come on!!!!" Jyst as he said 'come on' Keith grabbed my arm and started to run towards the Lamo with a huge smile on his face.

I followed close behind as we both entered the car. The driver turned to the two of us and asked me "What is your adress?" I told him that I lived on 233 Corwell Ave, which turned out to be the same street Keith lived on. I was happy that we lived on the same street but...at what cost. He would for sure find out that I live, nothing like him and my whole family situation wasnt..the best. I didn't need him to worry about me anyways.

Soon, we arrived at the house, and I got out of the car. I thanked the driver and kieth for dropping me off before I went in the house.

Kieth's pov:

We had dropped kieth of, and when I saw that house, I felt bad. I was gonna offer if he wanted to stay at mine tonight, but it was already to late. We drove towards my house.

I looked out the window the whole drive home, to the point where even the driver relized I was upset. He didn't ask, as last time he did accidently get me in trouble with my parents.

We soon arrived at the house as me and the driver both got out. He walked me in, and to my surprise I saw my best friend, ruby, in the house with her parents talking to mine. I was shocked as ruby and I have been friends sense elementary and I didn't know she moved here.

I walk over to the dining table. "Hi mom, hi dad.." I said and looked over at ruby. "Hello son." My dad said as serious as always

My mom greeted me and had me sit next to ruby. " Hey ruby. It's been a while, but I can't believe you moved here as well!!" I exclaimed with a huge smile on my face.

"Hi kieth, it really has been a while. And I'm glad that we moved here as well." She responded. Her eyes were a ruby red and her hair and dress always reminded me of a forest fire. I mean, that's probably where she got her determination from.

Well anyways, eventually my dad instructed us, saying. "Keith, me and ruby's parents decided that you two are a perfect match."

I was shocked as I knew we would soon be betrothed to each other. I wouldn't be able to marry her for many reasons. 1st of all, I'm gay and second of all it's cause I think of her as a sister. She soon spoke up saying. "Mom, dad, I know you two mean well, but I can't marry, nonetheless date him. I think of kieth like a brother."

I soon spoke up as well. "And I can't help but think of ruby as a sister." Soon after our parents took us to separate room to talk to us. We were both told that we'd have to deal with it.

After ruby and her parents left, I stormed to my room, slamming the door shut and locking it. I cuddled the pillow, soon crying as I just wanted to have accepting parents.

I continued crying, and just looked at my phone. I decided to give pico a call to see if he was busy, so I called him.

The phone rang for a bit, as pico soon answered. I couldn't stop thinking about his beautiful, messy orange hair, or his firey Temper. I blushed a bit soon snapping out of it.

"Hey kieth, you ok?.." he asked I answered. "Not doing to well, want to meet me at the park? I'll  tell you about it there. Of course if you want/can"

Pico responded with an "of course, not like my parents would care where I'm at." We hung up and I snuck out of the house, soon going to the park.
