Mr. Kim Taehyung the new CEO of The Kim Company, one of the biggest family companies for almost 3 decades. Taehyung didn't want to join the company but you persuaded him with everything you have especially after his parents personally asked for your help. Yeah, Taehyung took you to meet his parents at his graduation party. Although things get a little awkward, you're happy when his mother asked your help to persuade Taehyung to join the company.
At first, Taehyung keep refusing your idea, he wants to do arts but after you convincing him that he still could do his art in his spare time, he started to considering your offer.
"Do you want to know a secret, I applied for a position in your company and guess what? I'm accepted! So, I would like to have you around too like- we can have a little secret meet up in company and stuff, don't you think it's fun and romantic to do? Come on, Tae..." you keep whining and persuading him to accept his parents offer while Taehyung just staring at you with helpless eye smile.
"God, what should I do with you? You're my biggest weakness, honey bear." He bursts into bigger smile before pulling you closer. "Fine, anything for you." and that's how both you continue your better future, or maybe not?
Few months after he joined the company, both of you slowly drifted away. Leave alone the meet-up, even texting was getting lesser and so does phone calls. You two only meet once at weekend for a little date and that's it. Even in the last two weeks, you only spent time with him for less than two hours because there are important business partners coming from States.
Maybe it's just you, but you feel like he's being so cold to you. He rarely flashes you his signature boxy smiles anymore, hell you even started to missed his cringey pet name for you, because he only calls you by your name now. You tried to understand that he was having a hard time too because he's going to take over his father position and there are so many things that he should do.
Maybe he's just stress? You have to think positively and be strong for both of you. Until you accidentally eavesdropped a conversation.
"How about you and your little girlfriend? You're lucky because both of you work in a same building."
"Nah, she's getting too clingy lately. She would keep texting me even though we met each other almost every day." oh.
Although you've expected on the beginning, why does it's still hurt?
His heart has changed.
