Chase's POV: Today's Charli's birthday. Were "besties" it sucks, I love her so much, but I don't deserve her. I hurt her, I cheated, I fucked up. Anyways I was invited to dinner with her, family, and friends. She's been talking about these shoes she really wants, I got them for her. I also got her a ring. I'm getting ready for her dinner rn.

I leave to go to her house. I grab her present and drive there.
Charli's POV: I'm getting ready for my little birthday party. I can't help but think about Chase. I still love him. everyone knows it except him. I wish he could take a hint. I want to be with me. I want to be his girlfriend. I want to be the girl he loves. UGHH CHASE.

I change into this. I am waiting for people to come over. *knock knock* I open the door, honestly I want it to be Chase... it's Avani. "hey," I say. "excited to see me," she says jokingly. "sorry," I say laughing. "no it's good, I know you wish I was Chase, you should tell him how you feel. He probably feels the same way." *knock *knock I hear. I open the door and see Chase. "hey" I say. "hi happy birthday" He says handing me a gift. "awe thank you"
The party Is almost over. Chase gave me the sweetest gift. I want to tell him so bad...Avani comes up to me. "Charli just tell him," Avani said. "did you just read my mind," I say. Avani giggles. "you're staring at him," she says. I look away and face Avani quickly. Avani laughs again. "stop," I say. "sorry it's fun to watch Charli. be in LOVEEEE," She says. I lightly push her. "SHHH he can hear you" I yell. "You just yelled that." She says laughing. I roll my eyes and walk away. I go to the bathroom. Someone comes in. "O sorry, someones in here" I yell. The door continues to open, and Payton walks in.

Payton walks in. I stand up and pull my dress down. Payton touches my thigh. "pls don't touch me" I say, you can tell I'm terrified. Payton kisses my neck. I push him off. "I SAID STOP" I yell. "you know you want to," Payton says to me. "No, I don't," I say. He pushes me and starts touching me. "STOPP" I scream.
Chase's POV: "STOPP" I hear someone scream. "HELP ME" I hear the same person scream, it sounds like Charli. I run to the bathroom and open the door. I see Payton about to r*pe Charli. I punch Payton in the face and get him out of the house. I run back into the bathroom, Charli is on the floor shaking. I sit next to her. "shh it's ok everything's ok" I say while rubbing her back. she puts her head on my lap. After 1 hour she gets it together she isn't ok, but she's better. I take her hand. "you ready" I ask. She nods, we leave the bathroom and have fun. Avani runs up to us, "WHAT HAPPENED" "Payton.." Charli says. Avani grabs Charli's hand. "we will be right back," Avani says and pulls Charli away.

Charli's POV: Avani pulled me away from Chase. I'm about to speak when Avani says something that shocks me. "He loves you" "HUH" I yell. "think about it Char, he could have got your mom, your dad, Dixie, or ME. but he didn't he wanted to stay with you and help you because he loves you" She says. "why do we keep going back to each other," I ask. "it's simple really...your soulmates." Avani says. I smile I love Chase. I need Chase. "I got to go talk to him," I say and runoff.
Chase's POV: Charli runs up to me. "hey" I say. "hi we need to talk" she says. "ok?" I say. She sits down and pats next to her, telling me to sit. I sit down. "what's up," I ask. "I love you" she blurts out, she looks terrified. I smile at her, I forget to answer. "Chase...pls tell me you love me back," she says, she looks even more nervous. I laugh. "sorry I was in shock, ofc I love you back," I say. She smiles and kisses me, I kiss her back. "Charli would you like to be my girlfriend," I ask. "ofc I would Chase," she says. "I love you Charli, Happy birthday," I say. "I love you too, thank you," She says.
Charli's POV: I guess those birthday candles really do work.
