We have been in the truck for almost an hour, and we can all see the sun rising from the horizon. I look at the morning sky, it makes me feel fresh. The smell of morning air bursts into my face. It feels amazing. The truck heads for the forest. It looks so beautiful, and its just full of colour. It reminds me of the forest I used to visit when I was a young girl. Me and my father used to play around and run through the forest together. I miss him so much, I wish he was still here.

"Hey, Lizzie, what's up" asked James
"What, oh, nothing, just admiring the are"
"I know, fascinating isn't it"

He was right. The surrounding area was so enchanting, and the trees blocked out the sunlight, and our only light was the fireflies that flew around us. I started to feel tired again, and my eyes started to close. I was asleep, and all the animal noises had drifted out of my mind. I was in the forest again, but this time my father was standing there. The sun beamed down on us both. My father started walking away, I wanted to follow him, but I knew he was gone. I climbed up a tree, so I could have a bird's eye view. It was so pretty, everything looked beautiful. I tried to find my father from the tree tops, but i couldn't see anything. All of a sudden, a load honking noise vibrated through my ears. I woke up to see the truck heading straight for a tree. I close my eyes and pray. Is this the end?

The truck crashes, and my vision starts to disappear. I can feel Alfies hand holding mine, and I don't let go, neither does he. My eyes stay closed for another five minuets, then they open again. Luckily, everyone was OK, apart from Veronica. She was on the floor, blood coming from her head. We had to get her help, we couldn't just leave her here to die.

"oh my god, is she OK" asked James

"no, shes bleeding, badly" Eric replied

"well, what are we going to do"

"find me a culleco leaf, i will rub in the the wound"

"what does it look like"

"well, its a black leaf, so it should stand out if you see it"

Me and Alfie walked around trying to find the culleco leaf, while Eric and James stayed with Veronica. It was a great chance to talk about the dreams I was having with Alfie.

"hey, Alfie, can we talk"

"sure, what about"

"well, the thing is, I've been having these dreams, and I cant get rid of them"

"why, what are they about"

"Its a long story"

"don't you think your dreams are trying to tell you something"

"well, one dream had my father in it, so what does that mean"

"well, maybe he is still alive"

There was an awkward silence. Me and Alfie had never thought of something this deep, and I doubt we will be talking about this subject again. After some time, we finally found the leaf. We pick it off the branch of the tree and then head back to James and Eric. When we arrive, James and Eric are there, and in there hands are some berries.

"finally, some food" said Alfie

"we found them down near the lake, there really good, you should try some"

While Alfie, Eric and James stuffed there faces with the berries, I start rubbing the leaf on Veronica's wound. I can see her eyes opening.

" what happened?"

"the truck crashed, and you wouldnt wake up, until now"

"how long was I asleep for?"

"at least 25 minuets"

Alfie, James and Eric walked up to us and helped Veronica up on her feet. She still looked pale and weak, and there was no way we could find are way out of the forest. I then remember what happened in my dream.I climbed up a tree so I could get a better view, maybe it could work in this situation.

"hey Alfie, remember those dreams I had"

"yeah, one had your dad in it"

"in my dream, I climbed a tree so I could get a better view of the forest, maybe I could climb a tree so I can find a way out of here"

"wow, you are genius"

Alfie then kissed me on the forehead. I blush, but I knew it was only a friendly kiss on the forehead, and nothing more. I then find a tree that is good enough to climb.

"are you sure you want to climb that, it looks really high" says Eric

"I think i will be OK, we do have some rope and stuff in the truck, so I should be a little safe"

I start climbing, and all the ropes are making me feel clam. Once I reach the top of the tree, I can see the beautiful view of the tree tops. It looks just like my dream, but more real.

"hey, We need to go north, that's where the exit is"

"I still cant believe that you came up with that idea" replies Alfie.

I climb back down the tree, and we then start heading towards the exit of the forest, taking everything that we need form the truck. As we walk further through the forest, I start to realize that this place isn't normal. Everything looks exactly the same as in my dream. I started to think about what Alfie said earlier on, what if my dad was still alive? I try to forget about it.

We finally get out of the forest, but Veronica still looks bad. Her skin looks so pale, and her eyes are barley open. I start to worry for her, was she still OK to walk on? was she still strong enough for the games? I try to forget about it, maybe she was OK, maybe I was just worrying to much. I then start to worry about myself. Am I strong enough for the games? Will I survive the games? will I make it out alive? I guess all I can do is wait.
