A loud howl woke me up, and I was completely blinded by the sunlight for a couple of seconds. What the hell was that?! was that a wolf? oh hell no, I was not ready to die like that. I pushed the covers aside, that I apparently had put on last night and flew out of the bed. I rushed towards the door, but before I could open it, the door flung open and I was faced with a broad chest covered in a black fabric. It startled me so I jumped a step back and looked into two hazel orbs. It was the guy who carried me here last night, I immediately got into a fighting stand and was ready to tackle him, when he put his hands up and chuckled. He smiled smugly and said "woah there little lady, don't kill the messenger, i'm just here to take you to the alpha, I'm Reese by the way". He smiled even brighter when he saw my confused expression. The alpha? What does he mean by the alpha? I wondered if it was some kind of codename, but was distracted from my thoughts when the guy started walking away. I stumbled after him and stammered "I..I.. I'm Alana" why did i have to stutter, and in front of this guy as well, can this day get any worse. He just huffed an amused "I know" over his shoulder but kept walking. Dear god, what have I gotten myself into? We walked up two flights of stairs and got to this dark oak door. Reese nudged me forward and gave me an encouraging nod toward the door. I knocked on the door, a little too shyly for my own liking but he heard me, because after a second I heard a low voice saying a slow but authoritative "come in". I walked in and closed the door behind me. The so called alpha was apparently the big, scary looking guy from yesterday. He was sitting behind this huge birch desk, looking at some documents. How rude, he didn't even look up from the papers when he motioned for me to sit down. Before I could think, I spoke boldly "Are you not even gonna look me in the eye, or offer me a seat?" I crossed my arms and started tapping my foot on the floor, to emphasise what I just said. He shifted in his seat and looked down in his lap embarrassed. How odd, he spoke softly , not at all like the authoritative tone he used before "please have a seat Alana". I recognized his behavior, and I needed to test him a bit more, but it seemed like the alpha had a secret. Maybe, getting kidnapped wasn't such a bad thing after all, this could be fun.
