Jaclyn Miller used to be just like everyone else. She was raised an only child in a happy home in Brooklyn in New York City with two loving parents. She was normal, until she wasn't.
In 2008, Iron Man's battle with The Iron Monger took the life of both her parents when their car was crushed with them in it. A 12 year old Jaclyn sat in the backseat, frozen, staring at her parents lifeless bodies for what felt like days, too frightened to move. After the dust had settled and the fight finally ended, the car door beside her was ripped off. She held back sobs as the Iron Man mask was pulled off, revealing Tony Stark beneath it. She stared at him with fear in her eyes as his gaze drifted to her parents in the front seat. A look of guilt flashed over his face as he looked back to Jaclyn.
That night Tony took her back to his house and took care of her. He gave her somewhere to sleep and continuously apologized all night. Jaclyn didn't speak the whole night, she was in too much shock to even think straight.
Tony quickly realized she had no where to go, no where to live, and he offered for her to stay with him. Jaclyn knew she didn't have any other options, so she agreed. She stayed with him and over time, he gained her trust. Pepper and Tony became like her second parents.
When the Battle of New York occurred and the Avengers had to come together to fight Loki, Jaclyn realized she had to learn to defend herself if she was going to live in an environment with so much risk. She convinced Tony and Pepper to let her take fighting lessons with Natasha, despite all of them still worrying she was too young, only being 16 years old. The Avengers quickly became her family.
After only a few lessons, the group began to realize that Jaclyn was much stronger than a normal 16 year old. When she punched, it was like she was moving energy through her opponent. At first it was barely noticeable, but the more she trained, the stronger it got. She reached a point where she could barely control it. A small hit from her could send someone flying across the room, even if it was by accident. She switched from training with Natasha to training with Steve, who better matched her strength.
After the Battle of Sokovia, Wanda joined the Avengers and the two trained together. Jaclyn learned from Wanda how to channel her power into energy in her hands, allowing her to blast even without touching people. Her energy came out in bursts of bright purple. She felt more powerful, she could hold her own against most of the team, even having succeeded at taking Steve down a couple of times.
The more she practiced and the better she became, the more she wanted to go on missions with the team. She wanted to prove herself. Tony never let her though, he wanted to protect her from the danger that came with being an Avenger. Everyone else on the team supported her and wanted her to join, they knew she was strong enough.
When the government decided that the Avengers could no longer work without supervision, Tony wanted the whole team to sign. Since she wasn't officially a member of the team, no one had considered what Jaclyn thought of the situation. Her and Wanda were confined to the compound, kept there by Vision. Jaclyn didn't realize they were being held captive there until Clint broke in to take Wanda. She convinced them to let her come, which led to her fighting alongside Steve and the rest of his team. She had never seen such a hurt look on Tony's face than the moment she floated down to stand in the line up across from him. At the time, she didn't realize what would come of her decision to fight. She ended up on the run with Steve, Natasha and Sam for two years, being unable to contact many people she cared about.
When the threat of Thanos wiping out half of the universe came to Earth, they had no choice but to join together again and fight. The reunion was short lived, as before she even had a chance to see Tony, Jaclyn faded to dust. Five years later, she reappeared to fight off Thanos again and only got the chance to say goodbye as she watched the man who saved her all those years ago, die in front of her. Not only that, but she soon learned that she also lost one of her best friends, Natasha.
She was miserable after that. More than sad, she was angry. It was like it was all she could feel. She also didn't have a home, as the compound was destroyed in the battle. Sam invited for her to live stay with him and she gladly accepted, the two having grown very close when they were on the run. She sometimes went on missions with him, but only if they were closer to the ground. Even if she couldn't actually participate in the mission, she usually tended to still travel with him. She became friends with Joaquin Torres, and she could sometimes help Sam if they were close enough to the fight.
Even with the distractions that Sam provided, she was still always angry. She couldn't shake the feeling, it was always inside her, making her feel like she could explode at any moment. Not only that, but when her emotions took over, she would lose control of her powers. She had broken a few walls from her outbursts of anger, sending cracks along the drywall. On good days, she was able to control the power and harness it enough to train a bit. Training was the only thing that made her feel better. She needed to be stronger, so she could protect the people she cared about and never lose anyone ever again.

Hey so this is my first time writing an MCU book so please be nice. I'm not entirely sure where the story is gonna go for now but it will follow The Falcon and The Winter Soldier storyline.
Jaclyn's powers basically come from the energy inside and around her. She can manipulate the energy in and around things to move or change them, and the powers give her extra strength and durability. They can be really destructive if she can't control them. She channels the power in her hands in a very similar way to Wanda, just in purple instead of red, and she isn't a witch.
I hope you like the book! Feel free to give some feedback about what you like or don't like because I want to keep writing more MCU books if this one does well.
