TW: MENTIONS OF MURDER, CRIME, SOCIOPATHY, ABUSE, KNIVES
The human mind is truly the scariest thing of all. Of course it could also be the most wonderful thing. It depends on the situation and how you view it.
On rare occasions it can be both.
This was one of those occasions. Well, not at first.
At first it was terrifying. Who wouldn't be terrified when they find out their boyfriend apparently has a homicidal streak and killed a guy for looking at you the wrong way? It was horrifying to think of what went through his brain. Most girls would've ended the relationship right then, and you would've. If you could.
You see, it was much more complicated than that. If the sociopath doesn't want to break up, and you do, the sociopath obviously gets his way.
Timothee Chalamet, a sociopath, with a big criminal family, and an even bigger homicidal streak. And your boyfriend.
When you found out about his...secrets , Timothee wasn't very thrilled.
He made you swear not to tell anyone, and gave you scars to remind you of your oath.
Yes, scars. They were all over your arms, and a few on your stomach, shoulder, and face.
You thought knowing Timothee's secret would make it easier to deal with but it was quite the opposite.
You were now allowed to meet his family.
Tim had a brother, Alex Chalamet, and they stayed with their aunt and uncle. Rocco and Ellie. What a fun family of psychos.
They were almost as bad as the abuse you were put through with Timothee.
You considered yourself lucky though. The farthest Timothee would go with abuse would be leaving scars with knives, which he rarely did anymore. He seemed to think he could make it up with affection. But the mental abuse was horrible. Being around this kind of lunacy was slowly driving you mad, and you knew it. You knew you had to get out of this somehow. Blood and dead bodies didn't even have an affect on you anymore. Blood red had become your favorite color.
Sometimes you went insane for another companion, one who wasn't, well, maniacal.
But no. Timothee wouldn't allow friends, especially male ones. Once your relationship with Timothee started, you began to drift away from you few friends. And any male friendships were out of the question. You could barely even talk to men.
So you generally avoided men, especially after they were what caused you to find out about Timothee's lunacy.
That was until one day.
You weren't even sure how it happened, it just did.
You remembered that day very well.
The day you made the biggest mistake of your life.
The day you fooled yourself into thinking nothing was love. When really you had love all along, and you knew it.
Maybe the reason you thought what you and Tim had wasn't love, that day, because you thought love wasn't brutal and vicious, when that is, really, the best type of love. Or because you thought Timothee was a lunatic and different and you weren't. But maybe you really were mad and hadn't discovered how well the title fit.
Maybe you mistook the dysphoria for love, and the love for dysphoria.
Or you thought there was something, when the only thing missing was you.
The day you met Ben.
The biggest mistake. The mistake you continued to make until the problem had to be solved for you.
The family didn't like it.

I'm so sorry for the possible confusion. I'm really bad at explaining my feelings. The last part was really hard to write, I was struggling so much to put my feelings into words. Also, this story will take awhile. I'm not very experienced with this type of writing, so don't expect quick updates. I have another book i am currently working on called 'I Do' so go check that out if you are looking for quicker updates.
