My name is Kimi and I am only 13. I 'm not like most girls. I live in a different kind of house. I live in a hospital. I am a coma patient and this is my story of how I became something else. Even in a coma I still know what is going on around me. I know that I am hooked up to a ventilator, I know I am on the third floor in room 180, and that I am hooked up to a blood bag. They do this because... well because... to be honest I actually don't know why. I also know that three people come and visit me my mom, dad, and brother. But today was different like normal my mom, dad, and brother came but someone else did after they left. He was tall, had pale skin, and brownish hair. He came over to me and took off my ventilator. He bit his wrist and fed his blood to me. When he was done he left didn't even put my ventilator on. I heard the machine beeping like my heart was stopping. The nurses ran in the room and started C.P.R. But it didn't work I died. They took me off the machines and stood there with their heads bowed. The strange thing is that after a few seconds I woke up. All the doctors were shocked they called me a miracle. They called my parents and they came to get me. Everything is different though I came hear everything and smell everything in the hospital, but right now I am only smelling one thing the blood bag. The nurses came back with my closes, said I have 10 minutes until my parents were here, and they left to let me get ready. I shut the door behind they and got ready. I still had time alone so I walked over to the blood bag hanging on the stand. Took it down and opened it. It smelled heavenly and before I knew it it was empty. I walked to the bath room mirror and saw blood all over my teeth. I rinsed my mouth out then walked out of the bathroom. I have like three more minutes. I decided to open the curtains to let in some light. I open them and boom my skin starts burning. I scream and fall to the ground and shut the curtains and the nurses ran into the room. They helped me up and asked if I was okay. I said "I think so, but what happened?" They didn't know, but I knew in my heart what had happened. I told the nurses that I would walk home because it wasn't far. The strange thing is that the nurses just let me walk out normally they have to have the patients be checked out once they are healthy. I stepped right out the door and burned instantly. I ran to some shade and stayed in it as much as possible. But I got to a part with no shade so I ran up to the first house I saw. It was huge almost like a castle. I got to the door where there was the most sun and screamed in pain. Two guys ran to the door and opened it. I said to them " Please help me!" Then I screamed again. they helped me inside and set me on their couch. They went off and talked in another room. I heard one of them say "Damon what did you do to her?" Then he answer and said he did nothing. Neither if them looked familiar, but I have heard of them their names were Damon and Stefan Salvatore. I woke up and they came into the room. Stefan said "Are you okay? What's you name? How old are you?" I answered all of his questions "I'm fine, my name is Kimi and I am 13." Damon looked at me and said "Wait aren't you the coma patient from the hospital?" Stefan asked "Damon how would you know?" He said "Because I visit them sometimes when I am bored." I told him "Yeah I am the coma patient why do you want to know?" He didn't really answer the questions but I knew he was hiding something from us. Stefan came over and sat down next to me. He was looking at my eyes. Then turned to Damon and nodded. Damon said "Shit what do we do now?" Stefan said "We can't. The only thing we can do is help her learn. Get Bonnie." While they are talking I'm sitting here wondering what's going on. I finally say "Who's Bonnie? What's wrong with me? I have to go home and see my family I just woke up from a coma they will want to know where I am." I run to the door and open it. Sun light immediately shines on me and I burn. Damon at like super sonic speed comes over and helps me. I saw him move as fast as light. He helps me up and shuts the door. I freak out and say "What are you? What's wrong with me? Who's Bonnie?" They probably thought I was crazy now but I don't know what's going on. Stefan looked at Damon and said "Damon get Bonnie. I'm guess I'm going to stay here and explain everything. So Damon and I are vampires and so are you. Bonnie is a witch."
