2 months. That's how long it had been since they buried Jennie. Everything continued but for Jin the world had stopped. He was still stuck on the day of the accident. Cradling his little sister in his arms as her blood stained his clothes. He couldn't get the image out of his head. Every night he would have the same nightmare. Over and over again. He had finally got his sister back. After 8 years. Only for her to be taken away forever. Bang Si-hyuk had set up an appointment with a therapist for him.

Myungsik was the first to get back to his life. Jennie had been a sister to him, or maybe like a daughter. He had been the person she confided in when she lost trust in her brother. Her safe space. A few weeks after her death Myungsik found her diaries. He found all those designs he had made and then thrown away cause his father made him believe that he would never have a career in fashion designing. He sent all of his time in his studio. Working on his clothing line. Maybe he had gotten into a routine but the hollowness in his eyes would remain.

Suho was a coward. Everyone said that. When they were young Jen would always say that he was the bravest but he knew that deep down he was a coward. He didn't know how to accept that she was gone. He couldn't bear the way people looked at him with pity. So he ran. He left Korea and moved to Japan. Hoping that he could start anew. Forget his past. But how could he forget the little girl who grew up in front of him. After a year of trying to leave his past behind him Suho returned. Back to his best friends who were there to hold and comfort him.

Chan probably took it as bad as Jin, if not worse. Jen had been his best friend. His soulmate. Not once had he imagined a day without her. He had managed to hold himself together till the funeral but once they lowered her into the grave was when he broke. His Jen, who hated being alone was now covered in dirt. How would she stay there all alone. Chan slipped into a headspace. His method of coping. He would slip out every now and then but most of his time was spent in his room surrounded by all the toys Jen bought him. He was quit and the shine in his eyes had dimmed. He saw no reason to smile or talk. It took 5 months for Chan to talk to Jimin again.

Areum was the oldest in her friend group. She was the mother hen. Jens soul sister. She had Jay to lean on and Jay had her. The two stuck to each other, searching desperately for a familiar feeling. Something that was still the same. Their love for each other was strong enough to get them through anything but loosing Jen made them drift apart. Jay no longer strived to fulfil his dream. He gave up. Jen had been the one to push him to go for his dreams. He turned to drinking. Areum fought with him over this. The two broke up a month after Jen passed away. For 5 months they stayed away until Chan found out.

"You both need to talk." Chan said as he forced Jay to sit infant of Areum. "I don't wanna talk about anything." Areum said coldly making Jay scoff. "Of course you don't. You just can't bear things not going your way can you? Everything has to be how you want it to be!" Areum glared at him. "I wanted you to follow your dreams! Not throw your life away! You reek of alcohol! Do you wanna drink to death?" She shouted. "Maybe that's what I'm trying to do!" Jay shouted back. "Stop it! Both of you!" Chan shouted. "Look at us. We're a mess. Jen wouldn't want this. Noona. Hyung. Please. Fighting won't do anything! Jens already gone! And now this!" He sobbed.

"Chan. I'm sorry. Hyung's sorry bubba." Jay said taking his hand. Chan allowed himself to be held. "I wish everything would be back to how it was." Areum sighed sitting next to him. "It won't. Nothings going to be the same Channie but we'll have to continue living. For ourselves and Jen." Jay nodded as she joined their hug. "We'll be fine? Right?" Chan asked. "Yeah. As long as we have each other."

Things began to fall in place. Jin went to therapy for a long time and would occasionally still get nightmares but he had his friends with him. Myungsik often overworked and ended up in the hospital but Suho was always there for him. Suho accepted the facts and in his friends presence he learned to live again. Chan worked hard to achieve his dreams, to make Jen proud. Areum and Jay soon got back together. They were all a bit broken but they would be fine as long as they had each other.
