"But why are you not taking part in basketball or Cricket?" I ask Aarav as we both relax in his bed after a long day. Ishu and Darsh wanted to eat Ice Cream, so they have gone to near Ice Cream Parlour to bring it, while Ishan had gone to take something to eat from downstairs.
"I will after this work run smoothly," he replies, looking sideways at me.
"Great," I say, beaming at him.
He looks at my face for a moment before saying, "Your smile is beautiful." I look at him weirdly as he continues looking at me with his lips up quarterly, only noticeable if you look closely, making a weird sensation flutter in my stomach.
I smile and say, "Why, thank you."
Things with Aarav is speeding up. The mere crush on him is making its way into something other. The butterflies are the regular guest nowadays. Thoughts of him are surrounded in my mind every time I relax, be it at the hostel or here at his house. It has been evident though I make sure that my feelings are not getting too obvious that anyone can assume something.
"Why did you come to this city to study? You have gotten admission somewhere better too. Why not go there?" I ask him, turning myself towards him, so I look at him directly.
"This college is also good and, it is only a three-hour drive to home, so I choose this one," he shrugs.
"Oh," I reply. Just then, Ishan enters the room. He looks at us for a moment and gestures Aarav to shift so he can lay.
Aarav shifts and come close towards me to make space for Ishan. He turns towards me, "You want to eat something?" He gestured towards the food Ishan brought.
"Nah, I'm good," I reply. I look at the TV in his room and take the remote before putting on CID.
I turn again towards Aarav, so we both lay opposite each other. "Why did you not choose to do CA?" He asks me, "Once Ishu had told me that you were going to join classes too."
"Because I realize that I am not that smart to pass it," I say and shrug, "And it is not something I see myself doing in future."
He nods, "Got it."
We both look at each other for some time, thinking of the questions when I remember the main question. Before I can stop myself, I blurt out, "Who is your crush?"
"Huh?" He looks at me, "I am not going to tell her name."
Guess, I will have to ask in which city she lives. If she is from this city, then confirm that she is Sakshi.
He looks at me, narrowing his eyes, "And no, I am not even going to tell you where she lives before you ask." My face falls as he shakes his head, "I knew it. You were going to ask that. Ishu asked the same thing. You and Ishu share the same brain cell."
I look at him and say in a sweet voice, "At least a hint? You can give that about her. Or is it Him, and you are just tricking us by using a different pronoun?" I wink at him, wiggling my eyebrows.
He rolls his eyes, looking at my face, "Fine. She is two years younger than me," he says, emphasizing 'She'.
One more point in the list that Sakshi can be his crush.
"Oh, you have a crush on a girl," I giggle as he glares at me.
He shakes his head and comes closer to me. Taking my hands in his, he looks me dead in the eyes, whispering, "You are a teaser, you know that." His nose touches mine as he speaks, making a shiver run down my spine.
I snort, ignoring the feelings that are wildly spreading, having him close to me, "That's new. I am more notorious, but the teaser is a good addition."
