"Today is so hot, temperature is soaring. I don't know whats going to be happen. Don't know how we would irrigate for the paddy. If it's goes like that I would be concerned about our daily bread. "

"Don't worry everything will be fine."

"Maa aache Amader saathe, kichu hobe na taar ashirbaade ."

(Durga maa is with us, with her grace nothing will happen)

"Shravani o Shravani.... Where are you. Get some water for your father. "

"Yes maa I am coming. Baaba would you like to have some food."

"no vani my appetite is full. "

What happened to Baaba, always he smiles listens to me, but today I felt something different. Daily he used to go field with bullocks, but today he's at home.

I didn't press him to ask. Daily at evening we had we prayers with kaash, sankh and ganti. I was in mandir room to lit diya and blow sankh after a while I heard some one calling to Baaba.

"Dayal kaku o Dayal Kaku....(uncle)

"Kaku is there?"

"wait wait I am coming... "

I ran out with anger to see that impatient guy shouting at its loudest volume. He stared at me without a blink. I offered him to sit in the chair in the baranda. I faced him after placing diya under tulsi plant.

Tell what's the matter

No, I want to talk to Kaku, call him If he's at home.

I'm his daughter.

After a deep breath he relieved a sigh.  

"Take this "

"What? "

"this is 2500/ rupees and the remaining amount I would pay till next week. "

"why this money you are giving. Did he kept this money with you?"

"No you don't know "
"no I didn't ?"

Your father was in need of urgent money so he sold his ox.

I was shocked to hear that as these ox were only the source to run on paddy field. I waited for Baaba to answer why he sold them. At night when he arrived I confronted him.

What was the need for money you sold oxes. He kept silent with his nodded head. I was raging with anger because of the silence. He got from his place moved out in the baranda facing his face looking at the void in the sky.
I moved towards him and tapped his shoulder.

Your mom is suffering from some kind of severe disease. She don't have much time. I tried to save money and collect from all sources I can. Even I took her to all the places to get cured but.

I couldn't bear the pain I felt in my chest like a heavy stone placed on it. My heart kept sinking deeper and deeper, tears started flowing continuously.

Your mother didn't know about this.
Please don't let her know of about her illness otherwise she'll shatter on his own.

Looking into my eyes Baaba too shed his tears. Keep your strength for the worse we face.  Don't let yourself down.

"What you both are doing here "? Suddenly maa came in the baranda, I turned myself to clean my tears. As it was dark so she couldn't see my puffy eyes.

Arey maa nothing, we are just talking about to visit the temple tomorrow on the near by village. It's been long we visited there.

That's a good idea, early morning we'll leave than only we'll reach in the afternoon. Now come inside you both to have some dinner.

Looking into Baba's eyes I promised to keep her happy till the day she would be with us.
