Back when I was 17

~Did you think I was lying~

Now it is the day of court and my mom just walked into the courthouse. I was so scared she was going to hit me or something. My father grabbed me because he didn't know if my mom was going to try to pull something. I just walked into the courthouse with my father and everything just looked so big, and this was my first time seeing all of this besides when I was 5 months old and my mom tried pushing for the same thing. In the courthouse, my mom was up first, and she was talking about how she was getting told what to do by my father, and all I remember I how it all was a lie.

My mom's lawyer called me up to the stand and asked me a lot of interesting questions, and I remember him talking about if my father ever put his hands on my mom. I said

"Of course not,  not that I know of and I'm around him all day, cause I do online school" I was so confused as to why he was talking to me about all of this. And why would I know these things?". Then my brother Timmy came up to the stand, and my mom's lawyer asked

"Has there been anything unusual at your house lately?" It felt like he was trying to use my brother's disability against us. My mom tries to pull any strings she can grab on to.  My brother didn't know what to say so he just sat there in silence, but then he finally got the courage to say something.

"No, everything has been normal, even though there is no such thing as normal."Even though my brother is autistic he is very smart, and he is in the AP classes at school, and he is only in his freshman year of high school. 

My father's lawyer was up next and he asked me up to the stand again, and I was scared if he was going to ask me a confusing question, but instead, he asked

"Has your mom been doing anything" and of course I couldn't lie to a lawyer, and especially my dad's lawyer who I trust? So without a doubt, I responded to him by saying

"I don't know if I will get in trouble by my mom for this, or if she will hit me or something," I told him 

"I went to school with a black eye and my ear bleeding, and I go to Ziggy Highschool and all of the Junior teachers don't care and I feel like they don't care about any of the student's lives. Anyway one teacher at Ziggy Highschool Mr.Kyie he cares more about our grades, than us as a person...".

And I went on and on about how the teachers at Ziggy Highschool just want us to finish high school years and be gone. Then all of a sudden Mr.Kyie walked into the courthouse and apparently my mother called him and wanted him to testify for her and prove that my father is wrong. He was talking about how I am the bad kid at school and how I always get sent down to the principal's office during class. I think the judge was actually going to believe him and what Mr.Kyie was saying. Until when my favorite teacher Mrs.Calley, walked into the courthouse and she walked up to the stand to speak

"At the last teacher meeting me, Mr.Kyie, and a few other of the teachers disused Kylin misbehavior and all of how she would always sneak out from the property during lunch period and get lunch from a gas station..." she continued to go on how at the school teacher meeting they were all talking about my behavior and she continued "... they were all talking about how I would always curse and school" she continued on " all I know is that I know that this would be a setup or a lie. I think that this is a setup and trying to get Kylin expelled "

I think that the judge was finally going to make his decision and in my father's favor. Then he said 

" The court has settled we will return to court two weeks from now, we will let the jury make their final decision, we will see you all then"

I rode home with my father, my father was planning on moving out, I don't want to be a part of the whole mess, but I am getting dragged along. This is my parent's mess.
