It has been a week since me and Malfoy met for our second lesson . And I couldn't stop thinking about why he was being so nice. He hasn't made snarky comments to me or faces at all out of the lessons since the train. It was really weird not having to listen to him talk bad about me all the time right in front of me.

I was walking outside near the forbidden forest because it was a really nice day when I felt someone grab me by my wrist and pull me into the forest. I looked behind me to see the one and only Malfoy. 'Why wasn't he at dinner?' I thought to myself

"Jeez Malfoy I know you have like to see me more often ever since these lessons but you don't have to make it look like your kidnapping me" I said with a smirk on my face. "I don't not like to see you all the time I rather hang out with your bloody brother than you" "Whatever you say, anyways why did you pull me into the forest so dramatically?"

"Well I know we have only been civil for a week but do you wanna- you know- uhh do you want to have a-"Before he could finish his sentence I cut him off and said "a truce Malfoy?"

"Yeah a truce- well kinda- I mean you could say that- unless you don't want to we don't have t-" I cut him off again by saying "Sure Malfoy why not might as well be friends if we are meeting once a week" I told him. I could see him let all the air he was holding in for what looks like a long time and put back on his mask.

I put my hand out and Malfoy had a face looked shocked that I was actually agreeing to this. He put his hand out too and we shook hands. "Hi, I'm Y/n Potter" "Hi, I'm Draco Malfoy" we let go and I could feel a little tingling feeling in my hand where he held it.

He looked at me and gave me a note and with that he left.

When I got back to my dorm I opened the note:

For our next lesson we will be meeting where we were today and the same time.

After I was done reading the letter I went to the owlery and went to see my owl, Winky, I got up there and fed her. It's was almost night time so I decided to go to the astronomy tower because it's very quiet and it's a good place to think.

I got there and sat along the railing with my feet dangling down. It was a pretty view from sitting where I am. I decided I should probably head back so I don't worry Diana. She's always crazy about me not being back by 11:00 or so, It's pretty funny actually. When I got up to our dorm Diana came rushing to me asking billions of questions "Where were you?" "You weren't at dinner I was worried" "Did you go back to the black lake and read?" "Please tell me" I was really shocked she wasn't out of breath yet.

"Relax D, yes, I was at the black lake reading" I lied, I didn't want to tell her that I made a truce with my enemy because she would probably rant about how stupid I am.

"Okay just please tell me next time" she calmed down and went to sit on her bed. When I came out of the bathroom from changing she was passed out on her bed stretched out across the whole thing.

It made me laugh a little bit but I helped her get under the covers so she was comfortable. I sat on my bed and started reading a book once again.

Once I finished my book I turned off the light with my wand and put it on the side table. I sat there and looked at the ceiling of my four-poster bed until my eyes shut and then darkness.

It's been a couple days and it was almost the next time until I meet Malfoy for another lesson. It is the middle of the day and it was lunch right now so I'm outside sitting down in the grass. It is starting to get colder and the leaves are falling off the trees. I sat there picking at the leaf until it was only the steam part left and I kept doing that.
