Flippin' ma' hat tuh' tha' back I quietly stepped inta tha' dark house, after pulling ma' key from tha' lock I adjusted ma' oversized Nike bag on ma' shoulder befoa' lockin' tha' doe behind meh I stood still fa' uh' second, realizin' nobody was awake I slowly made ma' way up the stairs makin' sure I ain't trip on nothin' . When I hit the top I took uh' short right down tha' long hallway tuh' my bedroom. I shortly debated wit' ma'self on wether or not I should check on tha' kids, but deciding against it I reached fa' tha' doe knob. Befoa' I cuh' step inta' tha' room I heard a lil voice behin' meh' that was filled wit' excitement and sleepiness ...

"August?!"

I quickly hit tha' hallway light switch and turned around tuh' see Justice standin' by hea' bedroom doe wit' hea' teddy bear in hand I smiled, puttin' ma' bag down I walked ovea' and scooped hea' inta' ma' arms.

"What ya' doin' up baybeh? it's 3 o'clock in tha' mornin' " I asked, lifting hea' lil feet off tha' carpet

"The monsters won't let me sleep"

"Mo monsters? I thought we got rid of those?"

She look down at hea' hands "They came back after you left. "Why you leave me with the monsters August ?" I cou' hear tha' sadness in hea' voice she still wasn't ovea' tha' fact that I'd been gone so long.

"Just' I gotta work yuh kno' that"

She sighed "I know but me mommy and Brooklyn missed you a lot"

I chuckled, doubtin' that lil B really miss meh' "I missed y'all to"

"Then why you so late? We all waited for you so we could eat"

"Ma' flight got delayed... Did yall eat?"

"Yeah Brooklyn got tired of waiting and he ate with mommy but I didn't, I said I was gonna wait for you"

I laughed at tha' fact she can't say crawfish. After sittin' at tha airport foe 3 hours waitin' on uh-other flight I was ready tuh' eat anythin' and everythin' so tuh kno' Bubbles cooked ma' favorite is a dope welcome home gift.

"I won't" I lowered hea' tuh tha' floor kissing hea' foehead I turned around and made ma' way inta' the bedroom wit' ma' duffle in hand. Tossin' it on tha' floor by ma' nightstand I looked ovea' at the bed and laughed, she'd been sleepin' on ma' side of tha' bed since I'd been gone. Leanin' down I placed a soft kiss on hea' lips but was taken by surprise when I felt hea' tongue in ma' mouth, takin tha' opportunity at hand I kicked off my J's and straddled hea'.

"Welcome home daddy" she whispered

I smirked "why yuh' up so late?"

She bit her lip smiling "A baby can't go to sleep until her daddy tucks her in"
