The First Awakening

Anytime now would be wonderful to get up. My thoughts are so boring. It's been a few thousand years at least. Wake up, wake up, WAKE UP!

*Crack*

Something fell from my face and I opened my eyes to see the bright blue sky. I never thought I'd be happier to see it. As I sat up, I looked down at my body to see stone fragments sliding off and falling onto the ground.

My chest convulsed from chuckles before I broke out into a full-on laugh with a wide grin filling my face. "So, this is the hand I've been dealt. I won't let it go to waste," I said to myself as I stood up. "By the position of the sun, I'd say that it's the early part of May and it's noon. The only question now is what the year is... Given that this isn't far off from the heart of Hiratsuka, it's been at least 3,000 years, closer to 4,000 probably, so the year should be around 5,700, give or take. Well, I ought to start preparations."

I grabbed some of the surrounding vines that I knew weren't poisonous and covered myself before grabbing a smaller piece of it and tieing my long raven hair up into a high ponytail.

I have a little less than seven hours, so I better get stuff for a fire first.

I went around and grabbed dried sticks from the ground while also keeping an eye out for any sort of water source. As I found the last piece of wood that I needed, I heard a river not too far away.

Alright, I'll make camp a little ways from here.

I found a clump of trees growing close together and decided that this would be a good spot.

Perfect for a treehouse system.

I put most of the sticks into a Log Cabin style with some dried grass and leaves around and under it. Then I took two sticks and started spinning one on the other, with some dried grass by the end. After a few minutes, it started smoking and a minute later the grass started burning.

After the main fire was going, I went around and looked for something to eat. That brought me to the river and I found some berry bushes. "It'll have to do." I collected as much as I could carry before heading back to camp for the night.

I originally got the concept of my main character from the song "Ussewa" by Ado which is at the top of the page. She's changed some from what I originally wanted her to be, but, hey, that's the magic of just writing want you want and not using an outline or making a plan that you intend to follow.
