New Beginnings and A New Stone World(Dr. Stone Fanfic)

It's been a few days now and I decided to go scientist watching again. Senku, the girl, and now a loud guy and a kid with a watermelon were trying to melt iron sand in a primitive furnace. After watching them practically kill themselves from exhaustion and failing, I had a better plan of how to melt metals better and without all the work. I stayed around for a couple of days, seeing them make ramen, find someone obviously from Tsukasa's group, and successfully making a powerful magnet. After a while, I realized the guy was Asagiri Gen, I just couldn't tell at first since his hair changed. I stuck around until they got(kidnapped) an old man for glass blowing.

I knew that I'd definitely miss some more stuff, but I had to head back while the information was fresh in my head. I even managed to get a few magnetic rocks while they were all sleeping. Judas had met up with me when I was about halfway home and we finished the way back together. Kyoka and Rekki were already asleep, and since I wasn't tired I made diagrams for a temporary waterwheel and a few other things. I must have dozed off at some point because I woke up laying on some leather.

I got up and went down to our easily hidable campfire and started cooking something to eat.

"So~ How'd it go?" Kyoka asked in an excited tone as she sat by me with her usual smile. Rekki sat on my other side.

"Good, I made different ideas from their mistakes. Oh, and I know how to get iron now," I finished with a small smirk. "And~ Blind-Rekki can have the gift of sight soon."

"Really?! You found out how to make glasses??" he exclaimed in surprise.

"Mhm. Just need some silica sand, calcium carbonate, burnt seaweed, and galena to grind it down."

"Where are we going to get the calcium carbonate?"

"Seashells, duh," Kyoka answered. "Just gotta crush them down real fine and... BAM! You got yourself some super-useful calcium carbonate!"

"Of course you know all that..." I sighed, almost forgetting the extended research she did outside of plants.

"You can use it for agriculture, building, soap, and gunpowder," she listed off on her fingers. "Those are the most useful things in this age, at least. Then there's the thing for Rekki's glasses- Oh! And it can be used as a dietary supplement!"

"Well, we can go find a bunch after breakfast."

I woke up with a yawn and stretched my front paws out before stretching my back. It sounded like Mama, Aunt, and Uncle were up, so I went over to them.

"I'm heading out, Mama," I purred as I rubbed my head against her chest.

"Be good," she replied as she rubbed my head,

"I will." I went past the line of bushes and trees, smelling around to make sure that there weren't any other predators in my territory. Mama isn't my real mother, but she's been raising me for most of my life. I don't even remember mother anymore. I can't always understand what Mama says, but I know when I go out that she wants me to be good, make sure the area is safe, and not get hurt. When I do come home with scratches she and Uncle get worried, so does Aunt when she covers my scratches to make them heal faster. Aunt and Uncle came out of those rocks like Mama did. Uncle looked like he was doing what he usually did with his front paws while Aunt looked like she was looking in the direction of some sort of sound.

I heard a high-pitched sound from outside of my territory little ways. I looked in that direction with my ears perked up and heard a predator about my size running through some bushes. I heard the high-pitched sound again and quickly made my way that way to see what was happening. I looked through some bushes when I got close enough and saw one of Mama's species, just smaller and with one of those melon things on its head.

I jumped out in front of it, blocking the brown bear from getting closer, and roared at it. "Get away!" I bared my teeth at him and growled, showing him that I was serious. After a moment, he ran away, knowing that I was stronger. I stopped growling and looked at the small creature. She looked like a deer that was too scared to move. Turning around, I laid in front of her with my head lowered to show that I wouldn't try to hurt her like the bear was.

The big lion turned and looked at me. I wanted to get up and run, but my legs wouldn't move. Suika's sorry, Kohaku... Suika shouldn't have run off in the woods... All of a sudden the lion laid down with his head down, a lot like what Chalk does when he thinks he did something bad. My legs stopped shaking as I looked into the lion's eyes. They looked... friendly. Hesitantly, I moved my hand towards his head. When I touched it, he started purring and his tail moved around happily.

"Are you a good lion?" I asked as I started petting his mane. He just purred more, almost like he was saying 'yes.' I wasn't scared anymore as I kept petting his mane. "Hmm... What should Suika call you? Oh! How about Tetsu?" He just purred in response and rubbed his head against mine.

She stopped petting my mane and stood up, motioning for me to follow her. I got up and started following her. After a minute of walking, she tripped. When she got up, I put my head between her back legs and got her onto my back. She smiled and laughed a bit before I kept going the way she had been leading me. As we went, she pointed to where I needed to go and after a while, I could hear more of her species.

We finally got back home and I could hear Kohaku, Kinro, and Ginro training again. The tournament for Ruri was going to be here soon, after all. Tetsu jumped over the bushes, making me laugh a bit. Everyone froze, stopping what they were doing, and looked at us with wide eyes.

I hopped off of Tetsu's back and petted his head some. "Suika made a new friend!"

The training trio was shocked, to say the least. They had seen lions before, but not this close and definitely not letting a child ride on its back. They were baffled, almost like the lion's appearance fried their abilities to think.

"Suika made a new friend!" Suika announced, snapping the three out of their stupor. "Tetsu's a friendly lion! He saved me from a bear and brought me back!" she happily said while petting Tetsu's mane.

"What's going-" Senku started asking but stopped himself short when he saw the lion. He had atrocious luck with the last lion he saw, so he was rightfully frozen in place.

"WHOA! WHY'S THERE A LION HERE!!??? THAT'S REALLY BAAAAAD!!!!" (We all know who this is)

"This is Suika's new friend, Tetsu," Suika said while treating the lion like any normal pet. "Can we keep him, please?"

That's weird... No lion that grew up in the wild would ever be this tame. It would've tried attacking us, especially Suika. Did Tsukasa and his gang raise it? No. There has to be someone else nearby... Could someone else have revived? It's a possibility.

"Sure, why not?" I shrugged as I picked my ear with my pinkie.

"Senku!!" Kohaku excaimed.

"He's not attacking and Suika said he rescued her from a bear, right? If he saw us as snacks, he would've just eaten Suika right then and there."

"I guess you're right... But still..." 

"It's fine," I waved off as I headed back to the lab.

A few days passed by and we were able to make everything I wanted. The only downside was the waterwheel, but we are a good distance away from the main path from The Kingdom of Science and The Empire of Might, as I learned they were called, so we shouldn't get discovered. From what I saw Senku and his people were safe, but I didn't want to make myself known yet because of the ongoing war. Anyway, we got Rekki's glasses made and a couple of different furnaces. We already got some iron melted down and Rekki was making different tools and a special weapon I asked him to make. Then Kyoka was making a surplus of different medicines and some soap. Judas had also come back from wherever, so our little group got a level up.

So, I just decided to put all of this into one chapter since I don't really know what to do in the way of dialog, but here in a few chapters Ichika and co. will be in the main story and not just spying. It'll go into the manga, but for now, they're just observing and learning. Hope you all enjoyed! Bye-bye:)~
