okay SO
for context, me (14 (little age is 1-3)) and my caregiver who is also a little (16 (little age is 8)), who shall henceforth be called friend 1, and our best friend who is ALSO a little (15 (little age is 5/6)), who shall henceforth be called friend 2, were all riding in the bed of a truck (DW IT'S LEGAL WHERE I LIVE AS LONG AS YOU'RE 8 OR OLDER) on this scavenger hunt around town with their youth group, and one of the adults in charge was driving, and i had already kind of been little on and off all day (around 3) and friend 1 had been keeping an eye on me since my headspace is so little and i get really clumsy
so anyway we were riding in the back of the truck and it just starts pouring down rain. the three of us are all having a blast bc we love playing in the rain, then we got quiet for a little bit and then we pulled up to an intersection where we could actually hear each other and friend 1 tells me and friend 2 that they're feeling little. okay, no big deal, just two of us, me and friend 1. friend 2 doesn't mind being responsible for us. so friend 2 is trying to keep a very small toddler (i was starting to feel closer to 2 ish, i always get younger when they're little at the same time as me) and an 8 year old in line. they're having a blast, obviously
but THEN
friend 2 is like "guys i think i'm in headspace"
and at this point we were all like "oh no. oh GOD" and we were kind of freaking out bc well. an 8 year old, a 6 year old, and a 2 year old in the bed of a truck with no adult supervision
and friend 1, the oldest, was just going
at every. passing. car
and i was kind of still freaking out bc i was so little that i was starting to feel nonverbal and, well, that just never bodes well for anyone. and there was no one ACTUALLY responsible for us, like literally no one mentally older than ten in the immediate area besides the guy driving the truck who did not know that we're littles. so we were on our own. to sum it up,
so ANYWAY that's pretty much it, nothing catastrophic or life threatening ended up happening, but the older two did get their hands on some candy so they were bouncing off the walls but the whole time i was just kinda sleepy bc you know. toddler. and we played in the rain and jumped in lots of puddles and ended up soaked by the end of the night. it was a lot of fun butmoral of the story
if you are a little, and you ever go out with friends who are also littles, PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD TAKE ONE BIG FRIEND WITH YOU. YOU MAY THINK YOU CAN HANDLE IT BUT YOU CAN'T. YOU NEED SOMEONE TO BE RESPONSIBLEthat is all
