Steve had finished getting settled into the hotel, so he figured it was time to go find Johnny. Steve walked down the long dirt road and admired the village. It truly was a nice village. Guilt rose in his stomach when he remembered the only reason he came here, was to rob the village and leave. "I'm a changed person now." he thought to himself, as he walked to John's house.
"Hey Steve, ya ready to go?" Johnny shouted from his front yard. Steve nodded, and they both left on the walk to the bar.
"This place is really nice." Steve said to John, hoping to spark up a conversation.
"Yeah it really is. I've actually lived here my entire life." Johnny S told Steve with a smile. "Hey where are you from?"
Steve never thought he would be asked this. What would he say? He didn't wanna lie to the sexy villager, but he couldn't say he's from a whole different world.
"Oh I travel a lot so I'm actually from really far away." Steve thought up, knowing it didn't even answer Johnny's question.
"Well that doesn't really answer my question." Johnny said with a chuckle.
"Hehe I guess you are right. I'm from a far away town called Bakervil." Steve felt bad for lying but he couldn't tell John the truth just yet.
"Sounds like a nice place." Johnny said.
The two had finally arrived to the bar. Johnny opened the door for Steve, and they both sat down and ordered their drinks. Right as their drinks were delivered there was a loud bang. The two ran outside to see what had happened. There they both saw the awful sight. Johnny's house was lit on fire. Tears ran down on John's face as he looked at the horrible sight.
"My cats..." Johnny muttered.
Steve heard Johnny and immediently ran over to the burning building.
He ran inside not caring about himself, to try and save his new friends cats. There he saw two small kittens huddling in the corner. Steve grabbed them then ran outside right as the house collapsed.
