Fancy seeing you here. Welcome to another whirlwind of a fic that has been brewing in my mind for quite some time. Before the story starts, let's touch biases on a couple of things.
This story will be taking place in the late 80s/early 90s. I'll be keeping the story as accurate to the time period as I can with lots of things, but you still may see some inaccurate time period things. We love creative freedom <3.
This story will contain a lot of talk about trigger subjects such as depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts/attempts, substance abuse, self harm, sexual harassment/assult (not between main characters!), violence. I will put warnings at the beginning of every chapter that contains these topics. Also, it is important to know that in no way is this story meant to glorify or romanticise mental health issues.
Substance abuse and addiction is a huge part of this story!! If that isn't your cup of tea, I suggest not reading this. As I said before, in no way am I here to romanticize or glorify the topic because as someone who grew up watching loved ones battle with addiction, I know there's nothing romantic or glorious about it. I know what it can and will do to the person and those around. In no way am I about to tell you a story of a boy who lost his ways but found a girl who made everything better, or a story of a girl with a savior complex thinking she can "fix" him. The real world doesn't work like that.
It's important to make note that there will be A LOT of characters in this story, some minor, some major, some who may not be the best of people, and some you may grow to love. Give most of them a chance before you decide if you hate them and make unneeded comments about them. Strong female characters who act rationally about things seem to get a lot of hate for whatever reason. What is a story without good character development?
And lastly, there will be explicit and mature content for you filthy animals ;). Kinks will include: dom/sub (subrry has entered the chat), pain, degrading, praise, spanking, choking, cum play, exhibition, voyeurism, hot/cold play, anal play, etc. I'll update this as more smut scenes are planned/written.
