Percy's POV
I wonder where Zoe ran off to.
I know I'm super protective, but can you blame me?
I just don't want my daughter to have to go through what I went through.
Luckily, she burst back in, running from the thunderstorm.
Her best friends, Esperanza, Emily, and Reza, came with her.
Reza angled her head at the sky and yelled, "I know I'm lovely, granddad, but you don't need to create a thunderstorm to remind me of my awesomeness!"
Zoe snorted in amusement.
"What, have you got something better to do?" Reza shot at her.
"No, but at least I'm not yelling at the sky!"
"Oh, and you can totally stop it by teasing me!"
"Maybe I don't care if it stops or not!"
*GASP* "How dare you?!"
"Girls, girls, break it up!" I yelled, cutting between Reza and Zoe's argument.
They turned their heads to me in creepy sychronization.
"Fine, dad, but don't bother us." Zoe conceded.
"Bother you? Like refuse to-"
Zoe suddenly turned and ran up the stairs, her friends following.
A few minutes later, I heard one of her songs,
"I Just Wanna Shine," by Fitz and the Tantrums, playing.
I sighed, knowing perfectly well she was growing up.
Soon, she'd come home with a boyfriend.
I don't even want to think about that day.
