The shed

Chapter 1: Grandmas house

Today, I was moving in with my grandparents, My mom and dad died in a horrible crash, along with my twin brother. I'll miss them dearly, But I have to move on....Hi, I'm Evelyn, I'm 16 and I'm from Chicago, My grandparents live in Virginia, So that was a plane flight. Now that my mom and dad are dead, I get passed down the cash, I personally don't know how much they had, but by it taking 5  days to count, It might be a lot...

I get up to the door and knock on it three times, that's our signal, to let her know it's me, My grandpa is at his work, he works as a principal, at the age of 73, I know it's a weird job for an old man, but hey, it's his choice. My grandmother doesn't work, but she does do all the chores in the house.

I then hear clanks of shoes coming closer to me, My grandma opens the door and has a bright smile on her face, I step into the room and hug her, " Hi grandma, I missed you so much! Thank you for letting me stay!". " No problem dear, You know where to go, when you get hungry..there's always food downstairs!" I smile cheerfully and take my shoes off to go upstairs, I get to "My room" and see it's the same looking as I came here last time. Purple wallpaper, pink sheets with pink and purple plaid bedding. A desk and a closet, full of my grandmas clothes.

I open the shades, and the curtains and outside, I see something different I've never seen before it's a shed. It looks like a tiny home. Why would grandma buy that?  They don't mow there lawn... I run downstairs to ask Grandma what's up with the shed. But no Grandma...What's going on. I heard her humming down here seconds ago...

I go back upstairs and lock my door, Trying to think of where she would've gone, Trying not to worry I take out my favorite book, Which is called
Where the red furn grows, I'm only on chapter 7. When I get to chapter 8 I hear a door close, That must be my Grandma, I run down the stairs to find...Grandpa? Where's Grandma? Instead of worrying anymore. I tap his shoulder and hug him," Hi grandpa, I missed you lots and thank you for letting me stay!" " Your welcome hun! I'm very sorry, I wish I got to say goodbye to your mother."
I nod my head and then ask " Do you know where Grandma is? She left without a word, I can't find her."

When I said this he rolled his tired eyes and then said " Your grandma does this a lot, she will go somewhere and she won't come back until the next day.. I have no clue where she goes.." he then turns on his foot to go eat his leftovers. I run back upstairs and look out my window, " Maybe it has to do with that shed..." I stat in my head. I get my jacket on and walk down the stairs, open and close the front door to see Grandma coming out of the shed, I knew it. I jump back hiding from Grandma hoping she didn't see me. When I see if she's gone, I turn back to see her standing in front of me with a eyebrow slightly up. I can't speak, I'm stunned...I say "'I-...uh was just wondering where you were uh-uhm going?"..

She laughs and says, " Why dear, where I go is a place you will never find"... Did I ever tell you guys my Grandma loves telling lies, and telling riddles..When she goes back into the house I look back to see the shed..It looks different from when I saw it last time... What happened to it?

I get a closer look only to see that the color of the shed changed from Grey to a beige color...How?
I then look at the Mail-Box in the front on it...It says
The Rogers in big letters, I've never heard of those people before. I touch the door to open it when I feel a tap on my shoulder I see my grandma there looking at me mad, almost telling me with her eyes.." Don't go in there". So I listen and go inside.

It's finally night time and I'm getting in bed, I think about all the things that made this day to be, Going to my Grandparents, finding that weird shed... Watching movies...and eating. Today was fun, and I definitely want to explore more of the outside of this house.

First chapter of the book, I'm feeling good there's probably going to be about...12 chapters? Idk there gonna be long like this. BUT i hope you like it🌹🌹
