mikelan woke up at 8am every morning to get ready for school, but today he overslept! the clock read 8:15am he only had 15 minutes to get ready for school!
he quickly put on his schools uniform and threw on a jacket, because it was winter and cold outside. he grabbed his book bag and ran out the door. luckily he only lives a block away from the school so he can run.
he made it to school just it time. right as mikelan crashed through the front doors at tentacle high school, and ran down the halls to his first class, the school bell rang. mikelan sat down at his assigned desk with a sigh.
"you almost missed school, you know," mikelan's friend maddie said. she sat at the desk in front of him.
"i know i know, i overslept. i just couldn't get to sleep last night at all," mikelan defended.
"well at least you're here!" two hands patted down on mikelan's shoulders. he looked up to see his bestie bren. "i hear we have a new student today," bren continued as they sat down at the desk to the right of maddie.
"wow a new student!" mikelan said enthusiastically, he was excited that something was actually changing! he started imagining what kind of person would join their class. a model? or a foreign student! maybe even a—
their teacher, mr steve, interrupted mikelan's thoughts. "alright class, settle down now," he waiting for the students that were standing to get in their seats. "we have a new student joining us today" some kids whispered their thoughts amongst each other. "settle down class!" mr steve snapped. he sighed then continued. "come one in traz"
