A LIPSOUL ONESHOT

"jung jinsoul!"

jungeun shouted on the top of her lungs as people around her either glared at her or covered their ears to stop the ringing in their ears caused by the sudden shout that came from the girl in her school uniform, smiling like a fool while holding onto the straps of her black and blue bag, the two cool colors contrasting each other's color charms. she remained unbothered even though strangers are glaring at her and mumbling bad phrases about her such as how loud university girls these days can be and jungeun is a strong example.

the mentioned girl turned her back to the familiar voice who shouted her name — a smile instantly bloomed on her lips when the figure of jungeun cleared in her sight. heart flutters exploded in the core of her heart and butterflies insanely played in her stomach when the smiling jungeun greeted her with a hug that almost made her fly in the air. arms wrapped around her shoulders as jinsoul smiled shyly, wrapping her arms around the former's waist, her fingers not reaching each other's ends as jungeun is wearing her padded winter coat due to the freezing cold weather of winter.

"i missed you!" jungeun squealed happily as it felt good — it is the best feeling — to be in the arms of someone you love the most.

"we saw each other two days ago jungeun." jinsoul laughed softly, sending soft melodies and heartfelt notes into jungeun's ears as she stared at jinsoul who stared at her eyes, a faint blush coming from both the winter breeze and jungeun's effect on her — jungeun laughed as she ran a hand through the roots of her bleached hair, black roots peeking out that indirectly told her that she should either bleach her hair again or dye her hair black again.

"hey! that's still 2 days, 48 hours, 2880 minutes, 172800 seconds and 172,800,000 milliseconds. and i think and i know that it's enough for me to miss you no buts, no no's because i wasn't without you for that long, surprised me that i can bare it that long." jungeun shrugged that caused jinsoul to smile as they continued walking towards their university campus. both of them are majoring in theater, jinsoul in her last year and jungeun in her second year. sharing the same hobbies and likes is definitely a good thing as they decided to take the same major so that they can have more time together.

nearing the school campus, jungeun bravely slipped her hands onto jinsoul's hands as a smile crept up in her lips when she slowly intertwined their fingers together — jinsoul's fingers fit into the spaces of her fingers perfectly as if their hands are made to hold each other, they are each other's puzzle pieces and the jigsaw puzzle was completed the moment their souls crossed paths and let me tell you, two souls don't find each other by simple accident.

"where are you going to spend winter break?" jungeun asked as jinsoul rubbed her palms together, trying to warm herself up despite literally being wrapped like a burrito. jungeun noticed how the latter is feeling cold and so, she rubbed her palm together as well trying to create friction and thus, heat — after warming her palms up, she puffed out breathe on her palms and placed her warmed out palms on jungeun's cheeks, sending a blush on the latter's cheeks that glittered her pale cheeks.

ignoring the blood that rushed up to her cheeks and the fast beats of her heart, she answered, "hm, i'm not really sure but probably the usual. you know, travelling to dad's hometown and visit my grandmother, spend christmas there and new year's in my mom's hometown. eat cookies and unwrap gifts, christmas traditions."

"oh..."

"why?" jinsoul asked as jungeun sighed, looking at jinsoul with a disappointed look in her face, "i was hoping that we could spend christmas together as you know, because if ever, it would be our first christmas together and it would be memorable! baking sugar cookies, shaping them with festive cookie cutters then decorating them afterwards. binge watch home alone while eating our sugar cookies, sharing a warm blanket with hot chocolates with three—no, four! four floating marshmallows on top, err, well, if you want more then we can put more than seven. then, then, if ever..."
