Josi went to the bathroom, not to do the usual things but just to cry, and cry again. She simply wanted a logical excuse to go to dismiss herself from the class. Thoughts were crazy on her mind. "Lord just kill me now."
She could barely get the words out her mouth saying that. She sounded like a druggie. Voice scratchy, legs wobbling. It was a nightmare.
Fifteen whole minutes had flown by and everyone in the class was worried for her, especially Mr. Estan. Even Ebonie Black was worried about her. She probably thought that if something terrible happened to Josi, that the rest of her school life would be tedious because there would no more competition.
The bell sickened her. The ringing noise, the fact that she had to go back to her classroom for the next lesson and also that other girls were going to come in the bathroom with her, normally not to actually use it; gossiping was mainly their deal.
The two "main bees" were Katherine and Avery. Not that they ever talked about her, that she had known of, but Josi's friend was often the target of abuse. Josi had read books, saying that some kids were bullied because of reasons, like their mother and father had some issues that involved the child or that the child had gotten themselves into trouble with something horrid to the mind but for Monica, or Mon as Josi called her, every little aspect of her life was picked on. Her hair, her braces, her eye colour. Josi would secretly hear statements like.
"Does she even bathe? She smells like raccoon. She didn't know why they pick on her, she was one of the prettiest people I knew. Her bright red hair went well with her silver eyes and thick lashes. Her braces suited her face too. Josi reached the bathroom door and heard Katherine and Avery's voices inside. She was just hoping that there was a slight chance that they were sick or broke their necks or something. She reached for the doorknob. "Monica is just going to love what we did to her locker", I heard Avery say.
"That's what she gets for sleeping with my Matt. Bitch gotta learn".
The door opened and they walked out. Josi didn't know exactly what they were going to do. But it was obviously going to be the most embarrassing thing ever.
