Chapter 5) I Love You

Norman's POV~
   
    "Ray... I love you.."

    When I noticed Ray was asleep I said those words. I said it because it was true, I loved him. Not as in some teenage boyfriend way, Or it was- but I also genuinely loved him. I smiled when I said the words, They filled me with joy.

    "I love you too.. Norman..." My heart stopped beating. I look down, in awe and shock. I was almost sure he was asleep, but i'm glad he wasn't. I knew the truth now, I never would've thought this day was a possibility. His cheeks and the tip of his nose was painted by a red blush, and then so were mine. "I thought you were asleep..?" I said, still shocked at the words that came out of his mouth.

    "Did you mean it? What you said.. Was it true?"Of course it was true- I would never lie to him.. "Of course I meant it-" I knew he wouldn't believe that, he was stubborn like that. I knew I had to prove it. He just looked up at me as I spoke. He was so perfect.. I knew how to prove what I had said before.. I leaned my head down a few inches so I was inches away from his face. I could see his blush grow, just as mine was. Our lips were not even inches apart, I noticed he let out a shaky breath. "I do love you, Ray." I said that before leaning in closer, pressing my lips against his. I felt my heart explode, It felt like a dream.. I really hoped it wasn't.

    That was our first kiss. It couldn't have been more perfect..

    I heard some giggling and a gasp or two after we had separated. Ray and I both looked over at the entrance to the library and saw Emma and Gilda peaking in and- spying on us? More like eavesdropping but spying sounds cooler. When the two girls saw they caught our attention they hid behind the door, Emma's antenna still peaked out from the side. She wasn't a very good hider-

    "Guys we already saw you, just come out" I looked back over at Ray as he said that, a small blush still covered his cheeks and nose. I smiled softly then added on to his statement. "We aren't upset, dont be scared." I heard Ray scoff to that which made me chuckle. Then soon after Emma came running over.

    "ARE YOU GUYS BOYFRIENDS??" I winced at the loud voice, she was obviously excited. She sat there in front of us, bouncing, her antenna bouncing along with her. Sometimes it looks like it has a mind of its own- I shake my head at her response, Being it wasn't official. Then I heard a sigh from Ray, I moved my glance to him and he looked upset with my reply so I quickly changed it with a smile and a nod.

    "Yes. Yes we are."

    I saw my new partner's eyes light up, his mouth curving into a smile. My favorite thing was making that boy smile... I wanted to see him smile more, and the things I'd do to hear him laugh... Ray was my definition of the perfect being, and now he was officially mine to love and to call my own.. It was perfect- Everything was perfect.

    At Least it was for a week or so... But we eventually got some news from headquarters..

Authors Note~  HERES A CUTE CHAPTER AND A FEW MORE WILL COME IN BECAUSE I KNOW THE ANGST IS GONNA HIT HARD SOON AND I NEED TO MAKE MY BEFORE HAND APOLOGY SO- TAKE NORRAY BEING OFFICIAL TO START IT OFF- But basically the last thing is foreshadowing for a few chapters in advance, its not gonna come in next chapter don't worry.
