The leaves rustled and fell in the wind. The streets and sidewalks were barren, the street lights were the only way to tell where I was going. I was walking home from my older sister's birthday party. With all the laughing and joking around, I had forgotten the time. I have school today and its 1:45 in the morning! Sighing, I quicken my pace, my combat boots clanking. The wind blew harder, my hair was getting in my face. Suddenly the street lamp went out and the glass cracked. I gasped as another gust of wind hit me. The hair on the back of my neck stood up as I felt someone breathing on me. I took off running as fast as I could. Where could I go? I can't go home, my family is there. I sure as hell am not going to get them into this mess. I could hear the stranger's footsteps behind me. I quickly turned the corner. It's an ally! Well that's just great! I suddenly felt like that girl who always falls in the horror movies, right before she is killed. Right as I thought that, the stranger's hand was around my neck; pinning me against the wall. The only thing I could see was his icy blue eyes. He leaned forward, his lips at my ear.

"I'm sorry.." I heard him faintly whisper before darkness took over.
