" The Lost Spirit "

"A-Am I...Lost?"

A Shrill cry echoed in the mist, " I didn't mean to KILL her"...

This story started on a Wednesday evening when Ciaran and his family were out for dinner. It was a lovely day out, they visited many places and enjoyed their time together. It felt great to catch up. They were just heading back home when suddenly...

*CRASH*......Police Sirens, Ambulances, Paramedics, Firefighters everywhere...It all happened so fast...Ciaran was confused

Ciaran: ....What...? was all he could say while looking at his family being taken away in ambulances, the first Ambulance took his father, the second one took his older sister, the third took his dear mother, and finally...the fourth ambulance was towing Ciaran's body in...

Ciaran:...I...I am...I...died...?? were the only words that left his mouth as he stared at his body being towed into the ambulance. Yes...Ciaran and his family had fell victim to a tragic ' Crash & Dash' as the locals called it, but only Ciaran's spirit remained on earth, the rest of his family had already ascended ....why couldn't Ciaran ascend?...it was as if something was holding him back...as if something had tied him to earth... so that he couldn't ascend.

" Ugh...I feel this ( grunt) force holding me ( grunt) BACK !! Ugh!! What is this muffin??!! questioned Ciaran. Ciaran was helpless, he was confused, scared, doesn't know his current whereabouts, he's just floating around like some balloon let loose of its string...he was INDEED lost ...he was a lost spirit in need of help...like ASAP. I mean it. O_O

Ciaran: OK.let me get this straight, I am dead, I cant ascend and I am fricking LOST...PERFECT! Y'know what, I'm not gonna beat myself bout it since I can't ascend ...it won't hurt to look around- I mean float around... get it! ( laughing)...=_= look at me talking to myself. I look like a crazy person, *sigh* lets-lets just go.

So after calming himself down and processing that he's dead ...Ciaran decides to look around. The plaza was so crowded when the crash happened, now...its just some police officers left

Police officer 1: Truly awful...ay! did u finish putting up the line. 

Police officer 2: yes the lines ready 

Police officer 3: we can't really do anything about these crash n dashes that are happening lately, that dasher seems to get away every time...but there's one thing that stands out from the other crashes ...the dasher didn't puncture the wheels somehow-

Not wanting to hear the conversation any longer Ciaran decides to move on 

Ciaran: Heh, I bet this'd be all over the news ( sarcastic). said Ciaran to himself as he floated around. He first visited a mall and floated around for a bit, as he kept floating to different places ...he starts missing his family more. What Ciaran doesn't understand is that he has to complete a mission he ignored when he was alive in order to ascend 

Ciaran: ( sigh) I miss my family...WAHHHHHHH!!. Ciaran starts crying, but obviously, no one can hear him, ...or so he thought. 

Althea:...mhmhmhmm ( hears someone crying in a distance)  ...huh!...is someone crying..who is crying? who is it! what's wrong... HUH!? OMG, there's a boy crying...over there ( points to the sky) ...but..he's floating?

Passerbys: Sheesh ..kids these days acting crazy.

Althea: huh...Im-I'm not?!! ( Standing with head down)

Ciaran stops crying when he hears a commotion below him, he sees Althea and floats in front of her.

Ciaran:....Pretty...!

Althea: ..!!! h-huh...omg..( stumbles back) w-what...who are you!?

Ciaran: Wh-What! you can see me !?? ( flustered)

Althea: Y-Ye! ( looks around)

when Althea looks around she notices some people are watching her with a ' is she crazy' face.

Althea: follow me! ( nervous whisper)

Ciaran: h-huh..o-ok! ( still flustered but decides to follow quietly)

Althea then decides to run back to her house along with a confused Ciaran floating beside her. She finally reaches home then sprints to her bedroom.

Althea: Phew! ( panting) we made it back. ok...now we can talk peacefully. Let's introduce ourselves first. I'll go first! Hi! my name is Althea, no I'm not crazy, but I can see things no one else can and I guess that's it for my intro!. Your turn!

Ciaran: ( Shy) H-Hi! I'm Ciaran and I just died a few hours ago along with my family in a ' crash & dash' incident. The ambulance took away everyone's body but...my spirit is not able to ascend and here I am floating around like a balloon ( sigh)

Althea: hmm ( understands his situation and feels bad for him) I see...I'm so sorry-

Ciaran: OH nononononono ...don't be...you didn't know this would happen...

Althea: Well... asides from that, you said you couldn't ascend...is there something holding you back, like you have a mission or something?

Ciaran: "💡"  th-thats...OMG! that must be it. OMG! I never thought about it, now that I think bout it, you might be right! there must be a mission I need to complete in order to ascend...but what is the mission?

And just like that Ciaran and Althea start going through his memories to find something that might help Ciaran to find his mission, something must click in his mind...but..to vain

Althea : ( sigh) We tried rekindling your memories so you might remember something but in vain...

Ciaran sighs and starts exploring Altheas room

Ciaran: hmm...wow!...your rooms pretty nice.

Althea: O-Oh thankyou, actually I share it with my sister.

Ciaran: hm! Sister?

Althea: Yes, her name's Astrid ...she can be mean sometimes but she's still my sister, or that's what I believe I don't know what Astrid thinks of me ...

Ciaran: A-Astrid...I think I have heard that name before...

Althea: O-Oh ...you mustve been her-

Ciaran: NO! AAAHHH MY HEAD!!!
