The year is 2036. Humanity is on the verge of extinction. Out of the 7 billion people who used to live here only a few million are alive at the moment. The great disaster known as Corona Outbreak started in the spring of 2020. It wiped out most of humanity by the end of the year 2025, apparently, more than 90% of the whole population was wiped out then. The year is 2036, as previously stated, and the situation got even worse.
Right now, the world's best scientists are gathering in Tokyo and are discussing how to save what's left of humanity. Altogether there are around 20 scientists, which can be considered pretty much considering the number of people alive at the moment. The room they're in is pretty large and could probably fit more than a triple amount of people that are here right now. The place they're in right now is located in the central part of Tokyo, Akihabara district to be exact. They're on the lowest floor of what used to be Radio Kaikan, one of the most famous places to visit in Akihabara. But like every other building, it was ugly, to put it bluntly. The reason is that humanity is pretty much gone, and people can't bother themselves with trying to make everything look pretty and colorful. That thing was once possible in the other world, in the world with 7 billion people, but it's not the same anymore.
The only thing people are worried about in this world is survival, maybe you can even call this a new Stone age, but instead of stone, we have the technology, which actually did progress in the last 15 years.

As everybody sits down in their respective seats with gas masks on their faces, Dr. Masahachi, the 54 years old scientist who called this meeting starts speaking in a calm loud voice.
"I called this meeting today, on the 6th of May 2036 to discuss further plans about humanity's state."
"As all of you know, the great disaster which hit Earth 15 years ago is still ongoing, Corona is still out there, All of us were fighting against it for the last 15 years, yet, there's no any visible development for the cure."
"We tried everything we could, but we couldn't get rid of it."
"So, in the end, we lost..."
After those words were spoken scientists looked at Dr. Masahachi with surprised face, they looked confused. But everyone would be confused after hearing someone declare a defeat. Scientists were talking between themselves, probably trying to figure out why did Masahachi said that. But their confusion was gone after the next few sentences were said.
Masahachi took a deep breath and said the following lines in a loud and triumphant voice.
"...But!"
"It's not over yet!"
"I will not admit defeat!"
"As long as there are people living here on Earth, there's still hope!"
"There's still hope for humanity! And so, I've come up with this plan: On this date, 6 months from now, We will launch our advanced rocket into space, the rocket we were building for the last 10 years!"
"On the 6th of November, we will launch people into space and find a new planet, a new home for humanity!"
Scientists got up from their seats and looked at Dr. Masahachi with their eyes wide open, they couldn't believe what they just heard.
Dr. Masahachi continued speaking in the same tone.
"We will not give up!"
At this moment Masahachi raised his fist high in the air and said:
"Humanity will be reborn!"
