You pulled on the door handle and stepped out of a cab, saying "thank you" as you exited the vehicle.

You were standing in front of a fancy French restaurant, the fresh breeze caused goosebumps to rush through your body. You looked down at your feet and admired the heels you had chosen. They were black with a thin strap, perfectly highlighting your pedicure. You had worn a red plunge neck satin dress that fell just above your knees. You didn't bother much with make up, just some light foundation and mascara. Along with some lipgloss.

Your heels clacked against the pavement as you stepped closer to the restaurant entrance but you heard your name being shouted from across the street. You turned your head and there he was, Spencer with a rose in his hand. The same hand that was once bandaged. Now it was a little bruised.

You looked both ways before walking over to him. Spencer's eyes just lingered over your body as he handed you the rose. Your mind was now laser focused and you weren't going to fall for any tricks. So you put your hands up in a playful motion and spoke "No mic. I know that's what you're looking for"

Spencer playfully smirked and nodded "Let's go then"

He began to walk down the block and away from the restaurant you were planning on dining in. So you stood in your spot "I thought we were eating here"

"I'm not an idiot Y/n I know you didn't come alone like I asked." He held his hand out "Hold my hand before I pull the plug on whatever this is"

You glanced through the window of the restaurant and watched a fellow agent, Anderson, nod. You looked back to Spencer and let his fingers intertwine with yours. This was going to be a long night but you were prepared for this exact thing to happen. He wasn't the only genius on the team.

Down the block you both stepped into a restaurant hand in hand. A hostess approached the both of you and Spencer gently squeezed your hand as he spoke "I have a reservation for 2. Reid"

The hostess looked down at the clipboard in her hands and she smiled as she began to walk further into the restaurant "Follow me"

Spencer never let go of your hand until you reached a booth where you would both sit in. Spencer let go of you and you sat down on one end as Spencer sat down across from you. As he sat you spoke "It was bold of you to use your real name"

"Well I'm clearly not hiding am I?" He waved his hand showing that he was able to sit in public but you knew he had some type of advantage.

You just smiled at him and looked behind him for a second. You caught a glimpse of Matt Simmons. You were introduced to him while Emily got a call from the restaurant you were sitting in right now. She had spread the word out about Spencer.

It was a long shot since Spencer worked with Matt once years ago. But the team needed someone who understood them. So it was worth the risk to bring him in today. Of course Spencer didn't know this.

"Why did you call me here?" You set your hands on your lap and began to play with the hem of your dress

"The real question is why did you come?" Spencer leaned forward and rested his hands on the table

You smiled lightly "I want to know why you did all of this"

"Did what" he tilted his head

You chewed on your inner cheek and didn't let yourself get annoyed by his cockiness. You leaned in and whispered "Why did you kill all those men?"

"Did I forget to mention that you look beautiful in that dress princess" his eyes continued to linger down your chest

If it wasn't for the fact that he was an actual killer this would have been a nice date. "Don't be smug answer the question"

"That's for you to figure out" Spencer brought his eyes back up to your face "I mean you knew from the day you met me that I was hiding something. Might as well figure out the rest"

"Spencer this isn't the type of person you are"

"Hmn" he rose a brow and tilted his head

"That's what your whole team said when we began to see that everything led back to you" you explained as a waiter walked by and poured some water into the empty glasses

"They aren't my team anymore." he leaned back in his seat

You reached for the glass of water and took a long sip, once you set the glass down you looked back up at him "I thought that you were all family. I'm fairly new here but I've seen enough to know that you were all a tight knit group"

"They're not my family" he shifted in his chair

You were trying to find a way to set him off somehow so he could slip up and see if you could pry some information out of him "Are you about to get emotional on me?"

"Not at all" Spencer picked up his own glass and took a sip. Once he set the cup down the waiter came back for your order. Spencer didn't let you speak. "We are actually having a lot of fun getting to know one another so we will let you know when we're ready"

The waiter nodded and walked away. Spencer scooted over to your end of the booth. He leaned in closer to you but you spoke up "Are you still trying to be flirty? You don't need to use that plan"

"What are you talking about?" He fumbled with his belt and you looked down only to realize he took out his gun. Frankly you didn't see that coming.

"You knew that I was digging too deep into your personal life so you started to try and seduce me so I could be distracted. So I wouldn't figure out you were a killer so quickly" you rested your hands on your lap

"Interesting" he spoke with a low tone and put his finger on the trigger

"Doesn't this feel familiar" you smirked "The roles are switched now aren't they. The FBI agent and the unsub sitting in a restaurant waiting for the other shoe to drop."

"Where do you think I got the idea from" he knew you were talking about Cat and their first meeting together. JJ told you all about it while you were getting dressed

You turned to face him "We both know you're not leaving this restaurant without being arrested as soon as you step onto the sidewalk"

He nodded and smiled as if he didn't believe that he was going to get arrested. His free hand traveled down your thigh

"You know" his hand reached the hem of your dress and his fingers slowly moved under the silky fabric "I've worked with the bureau more than 12 years" his hands were pressed against your hot flesh. You hated yourself for liking his hands on your body. You quickly snapped back into reality and kept thinking that this was wrong. "Which means I know" his voice deepened the higher he went "Every" he leaned in closer to your face but you looked down at the table in front of you "Single" the distance between his lips and your ear sent shivers down your spine "Trick" you gasped when he finally reached the gun that was wrapped around your thigh

Before you knew it your own gun was pressed against your stomach. He put his own back to where it was and his finger was to the trigger. You turned to face him and your noses were basically touching "It's going to take a lot more than me being held at gun point for you to get out of here."

He chuckled "We will see about that"

You decided to get straight to the point "Where's Cat?"

Spencer just stayed quiet and his hand reached under the table. You began to shift to stop him but he pulled back the trigger and pressed the gun further against your stomach. Causing you to flinch back into your seat.

Spencer sighed as you heard tape being ripped away from under the table. "What did I tell you about the mics?"

You kept your lips sealed and watched as he held the small mic between his fingers. In a second he rolled it into his fist and muffled the mic. Your eyes moved from his fist back up to his face. You didn't even hide your worried look. "Don't"

"Tell Matt Simmons to leave right now or his kids will grow up without a father"
