"You've lost your touch, [Y/N]. You're being sent back to training to learn the basics again." My jaw dropped as I stared in pure shock at Levi. "What?! But I passed the training with flying colors!" He scowled at me. "Yeah, when you were still in training. Now that you've come into contact with professional soldiers, you've lost your goddamn mind. There's a carriage waiting out front for you. Pack your things and go." Before I could retort, Levi walked away and waved his hand to dismiss me. Two guards stepped up behind me and grabbed me by the arms.I quickly yanked my arms out from their hold and growled at them. "I can walk on my own, thank you. It's not like I have anywhere to go now." They frowned but stepped aside as I walked through and headed to my room. "I can't believe this is happening..." I muttered angrily to myself.

As my carriage came to a rocky stop, I grimaced. Back to the training grounds huh? With Keith Shadis? God, this is going to be a nightmare. Keith never liked me, but then again, nobody liked him, so...that's not exactly a loss. But after three years, THREE YEARS! Of being in the Scouts, I've all of a sudden lost my touch? That's ridiculous! God, if I weren't so afraid of disrespecting Levi, I'd punch his lights out. I took a deep breath instead and stepped out of my carriage.
The second I did, Keith was standing there, directly in front of me. His scowl only showed how much he despised me. I forced a nervous smile and waved at him. "Hey, Mr. Shadis..." He stepped forward, towering over me with ease. "[Y/N] [L/N]. What are you doing here? You have a duty to fulfill with the Scouting Regiment." I rubbed the back of my neck and chuckled. "Well, about that...I guess Levi didn't tell you, but I've been sent back to train again. He says I've lost touch with my skill."
Shadis scoffed. "Not a surprise that he didn't inform me of your arrival. Probably wanted me to see you for the utter failure you are as a soldier." I grimaced at him and sighed. "Yeah, yeah. I get it. You don't like me. Can I just get started with the training today?" He let a small smirk reach his lips. "Unfortunately for you, today is only a line-up for all of the rookies that joined this year. We don't start training until tomorrow." I groaned and threw my head back. "But, Shadis! My hands are itching to get back to work!" He shrugged and turned around on his heel, beginning to walk away. "You should've thought about that before you disappointed one of the finest soldiers alive. Get your uniform on and head to the line-up. You'll be standing next to Annie Leonhart."
Before I could ask who that even was, he was gone. I scoffed loudly and kicked at the dirt, sending a good portion of it flying into the air. With a sigh of defeat, I headed to one of the cabins and found a spare uniform that was about my size. I quickly changed into it, muttering curses under my breath as I did so. As I reached the line-up, I eventually found Annie after asking around. I stood beside her and grumbled as we all waited for Shadis to show up.
When he finally did, he spit in a few peoples faces before heading over to me. "Oh god no," I whispered. Shadis smirked and stood in front of me. "And here cadets, we have an exact model of a soldier who once passed this course with flying colors. However, after joining the Scouts and disappointing Levi, she's been sent back to regain her skill. If you'd like to be potential titan fodder, then by all means, follow her example." A few people sent strange glares at me, which I returned to them. Shadis headed to a few more people before dismissing us. Before I could walk off, he grabbed my shoulder. "Meet me in the dining hall after everyone heads to their quarters."
I sighed and nodded as he walked off. What could he possibly want this time? To scold me some more?

Eating was not fun today. Too many people were crowded around me, trying to ask questions about what happened between me and Levi. It was annoying as all hell. I was relieved once everyone was called out to leave and head off to rest. I stayed behind and waited for Shadis. Once he finally came in, I stood and saluted. "At ease, soldier." I put my arms back down at my side and waited for him to yell at me—to scold me for being such a failure in his and Levi's eyes. Instead, he placed a hand on my shoulder.
"I know you're going to pass this course with flying colors again, soldier. Levi clarified that he meant you lost your ability to work with other soldiers on the battlefield. Says you need to be more of a team-player. That's why I figured I should encourage you to join the Military Police or the Garrison Regiment instead of the Scouts."
