Book of Shadows

about a 1000 years ago there was a girl born. she was different she was special. Her name was Manoa. She fell in love with a charming young men they were married for 10 years and had two amazing daughters. Until he met another women and left Manoa and her children, Manoa was devastated she felt like her perfect life was ending. So she put a curse and her husband so he would never find happiness and love and would feel miserable. But when her husband died her spell backfired on her and her girls. Every time a men loves someone from the family line they will be cursed and eventually die from a broken heart.

Spring 1998 Chinatown New York

there was a girl born from the same bloodline in over 1000 years. She was gifted just like her ancestor Manoa. Every generation had a gift some might more than others. She is named Phoebe White a pretty ordinary name for a not ordinary girl. She has no siblings her mother works at an art gallery in New York her father works as a real estate agent. Her dad is mostly away all the time for business and her mom and dads marriage looks like it falling apart. Phoebe almost turns 16 and she wasn't very ordinary as you can say. She loves to read and spends most of her free time in the library, she is a very smart girl and does a lot of charity work. Phoebe doesn't have much friends because most of the girls at school think she is a total geek. But Phoebe is much more then just a geek but she doesn't know that yet but time will tell her.

Phoebes 16th birthday

it was almost 12pm and Phoebe couldn't sleep well maybe from the nerves of her birthday party where probably nobody shows up. She was twisting and turning and she didn't feel right. Phoebe almost fell asleep until she heard noises from the attic her heart was beating in her chest. She was scared but decided to go take a look, she steps out of her bed and she walks up the stairs. While she was walking up the starts she notices the door of the attic was standing right open. It looked like there was a light coming from there but that was impossible because nobody comes there. Phoebe walked up the stairs shaking and she didn't know what she was going to see. When Phoebe walks in the attic on the ground there was laying a book a very big book, it seems that the light was coming from the book. She looked at the book in fear and stepped closer she saw the name of the book it is called The book of shadows. Te book opens on a page there was a rime written. Phoebe picks up the book and starts to read.

"hear me now I call upon all the witches the secrets we hide in the night the oldest spells are invoked here the great gift of magic is sought in this night and in this hour I call upon ancient power bring the power to this future witch I want the power give me the power"

When Phoebe called out the worlds there were coming light balls all around her. She was really scared but also curious. The light balls disappeared and everything got back to normal. Phoebe walked confused back to her bed. She took the book of shadows with her and hid it under her bed. She was really tired and decides to try and go to sleep. Phoebe woke up the next morning and she thought it was just a weird dream. She went in the shower and got dressed for school but when she walked back in to her room and decides to look under her bed. The book she took from the attic last night was lying right there! She was shocked and confused but decides to look in the book. In the book al sorts of rimes where written she didn't understand what was going on . She decides to just leave it there and read it when she gets home. When she walked down the stairs she saw the balloons and her mom was singing happy birthday. She almost forgot that it was her birthday. She hugged her mom and went to the table and she was going to eat her breakfast. She noticed her dad wasn't there she asked her mom where her father was and he was on another business trip. Phoebe was disappointed because she wanted her father to be there on her birthday but she didn't show much emotion because she nows her mom has a rough time. When Phoebe was done with eating she cleaned up her bowl, she put her shoes on and she went on her way to school. Phoebe her school wasen't very far away from were she lives she enjoys the walk in the morning. Sometimes she enjoys going to school she wasn't very popular but Phoebe didn't mind she likes to be alone but with one exception. She is madly in lover with the captain of the football team Josh. He never talked to her or looked at her he probably doesn't even now that she exists. She daydreams about him all day he has dark brown hair and beautiful green eyes. Phoebe never was so in love with somebody then Josh too bad he never noticed her. Her school day was not very long she had Biology and Math, Phoebe loves biology except the part where you have to hurt the animals. Phoebe is a big animal friend when she was little she had a goldfish closest to a pet she ever had. When Phoebe her school day was over she walked back to her house. She decides to go straight to her room and read in the book she found. She opens the book and there where so much rimes Phoebe saw a rime that attracted her. A rime to get popular she didn't want to be popular but she thought it was just a rime she read it out loud and nothing happened. Phoebe got changed and she went to her mom. They ate cake and she got a few presents. Then she went to bed and she didn't think about the rime she read out loud. The next day at school everybody talked to her Phoebe didn't understand what was going on until she remembered the rime she read yesterday. She thought at first maybe it's just a coincidence. Until first break all the girls wanted to sit with her and talk with her. Phoebe got so scared because all of this came from a rime she went to the bathroom everybody looked at her. Until Josh came to talk with her he asked if she wanted to go out with him tonight. Her mouth fell right open and she said yes. She was so exited and she just wanted to get home so she went home and called in sick.She ran to her room and she looked at the book maybe..... maybe.... Phoebe is a witch. She got so scared from the idea she didn't want to be a witch she opens the book and starts to read that she must fight evil to break the curse. what will Phoebe do embrace her destiny or will she turn away from it?
