"On the 12th hour of the first day of October 1989, 43 women around the world gave birth. This was unusual only in the fact that none of these women had been pregnant when the day first began. Sir Reginald Hargreeves, eccentric billionaire and adventurer, resolved to locate and adopt as many of the children as possible."
He got eight of them...
"AGENT EIGHT OF THE FBI, PUT YOUR HANDS UP!" I scream into the pitch black house kicking the door. The hinges of the door creaking. I held my gun in my left hand and a flashlight on the right walking into the house cautiously. My team mates walking behind me.
In one of the rooms there was a sudden thud that echoes
We see a body falling to the floor, we point our flashlight at the person and there stood my brother Diego.
"What in the hell are you doing here?" Patch spat in a hushed whisper
With that the guys started fighting Diego making our conversation cut short. Patch and Jake went over to help the family members while me and Diego fought off the rest of the group, Diego throwing the knife straight at the dudes chest letting me handle the other one while he becomes distracted with the tv or something.
"really?" I thought
"Is everyone okay?" Patch asks. Everyone responded a quick yes from all over the house. Diego looking at the screen mouth ajar he turns slowly and looks at me.
"Eight... dad's dead." The house fell silent.
Time skip~~~
Me and Diego stepped out of the car, seeing we were the first to arrive. I take advantage of this time to walk over to my old room. Gray walls, gray sheets on the bed exactly the way I left it. My equations on my notebooks left untouched. A frame of me, Ben, Five, and Vanya covered in a layer of dust. We used to sneak out to Griddy's Doughnut. Those were the times that I loved most. Five left us a year after that picture. And as for Ben... I miss him.
"Why is she here?" I overheard Diego ask. With a deep sigh I make my way to the commotion.
"You don't belong here. Not after what you did." Diego keeps going
"Diego leave her the hell alone!" I spat continuing, "she has every right to be here, she was his daughter too." I said mad at the person standing in front of me,
"You know what, maybe he's right I-I should leave." Vanya started heading for the door. "No way" I said. "Forget about him, I'm glad you're here. As is Eight." Allison finished for me.
Allison and Vanya hugged. Yes I love Vanya, she's been my best friend for years. But things are still rough between us.
I walk into the kitchen then the bar, unsurprisingly I find Klaus making himself a drink.
"Oh hey eight," he said coming over and hugging me, "Hey, Klaus, how've you been?" I say after we pull away. "Oh you know, just peachy!" He responds, "You want a drink?" he adds.
"Yes, please. This is the most stressful day I've had." I say while laughing a bit. I grabbed my drink and headed over to the library taking small sips from my beverage. I see pogo talking to Vanya.
"Hey pogo." I say simply, distracted by looking at the picture above the fireplace. Tears of anger and sadness clump in my eyes as I clear my throat. "How long has it been?" Vanya whispers. "It's been 16 years, four months, and 14 days."
"wow" I muttered under my breathe
"He always had hope he'-" He started before I cut I'm off. "Yeah, well look where that got him." I didn't mean to come out bitchy, but I can see from their expression that I did. "Sorry, didn't mean to say it like that, I'm gonna go upstairs" I say walking out. Both of them nodded at me while they continued to talk.
