Chapter 1

Well, Raina and I are finally in ninth grade. " So. Are you excited about high school?" I asked Raina with a smile. " Yeah. More or less." She responded. I looked at her hair. It was a French braid. " You never wear your hair like that." I said. " But it looks good." " Yeah, my mom said it would probably look good in my hair." She smiled.
" So we have most of the same classes again!" Raina stated. " I know!" I squealed. " How does it always end up that we have the same classes?" I wondered. " I don't know, it's funny isn't it?" Raina replied. " Uh huh." I started to crack up. " What's so funny?" Raina started to smile to her cheeks. " It's just, it's just." I gasped for air and wiped my eyes. " All of a sudden I had this thought." " About?!" Raina asked impatiently. " Remember in Disney World when you ran into that super cute guy and fell down?" I asked. " Yes." Raina started to blush. " Well then you bumped heads." Raina blushed even more while I was cracking up. " You looked, you looked like a.......... TOMATO!!!!" I was hysterical but I didn't even know why I was laughing that hard. I fell to the floor. I couldn't help myself it was so funny! Raina was cracking up too now. She couldn't help herself because I couldn't help myself.
I wiped the tears off my face and took like 700 deep breaths. " Oh shit!" I almost screamed. Thank God we were the only ones in the house. " What?!" Raina said with a chuckle. " I totally forgot!!!!!!! My sister's birthday is tomorrow and I don't have a gift for her yet!" I almost yelled that too. " Well what does she like?" Raina asked me. " I don't know clothes and stuff." I said. " I'll tell you what, we'll go to Justice in an hour when my mom gets back and get her an out fit there." She said with reassurance. " Will your mom be ok with that?" I asked. " Sure. As long as we pay for it with our own money." She said. " Thank you so much!" I said as I leaped over and hugged her.
" So. Do you like any one?" I asked with a smirk. " Ew no! We both know I do NOT want to be in any kind of relationship any time soon. Unless it's a friend relationship." She stated very (very) clearly. " Do you?" She asked me. " I kinda think that Riley Thomson is cute. Who am I kidding he is GORGEOUS!" I said. " Oh hell no!" She squeezed my face. " Why are doing this to me?!" She asked. Riley Thomson is the high school jock that all the girls die for. I mean besides is dreamy hazel eyes, perfect light brown hair, great abs, and awesome personality I wouldn't like him. Raina doesn't like "those type" girls. She says that they are so annoying when they go on and on about how " Oh he's so cute." or " Omg why is he so perfect?" She says that they are hoes but personally ( even though they are flirts and like and date almost every boy in the school ) the are just girls trying to find love.
" So you like him why?" Raina asked. " Why?!!!!" I said. "He's PERFECT." I said almost drooling. " Ok but don't talk about him constantly please." Raina said while shaking her head.

The next day was crazy. Raina got pulled out of three classes because she burst out crying. I never got to talk to her so I don't know why. Finally the bell rang and I waited for her outside the door. " What happened???!!!!!" I almost screamed. " Why are you crying so much? It almost makes me want to cry." " I'm going through some stuff that's all." She said, but I knew there was more. " I'm not joking. Tell me." I said with sympathy. " M-m-my DAD DIED!!!!!"
She started crying more then ever and flung herself into my arms. I froze. A shocked look on my face. I shook my head. " Wait wait, How!!!!????" I was so confused. "S-someone crashed i-into-o him." She cried even more. Talking about this is making it worse. I grabbed her hand and we walking to the bus. " Why would your mom have you go to school still?!" I asked, surprised. " Well. Honestly I don't know but she said I was still perfectly capable to go to school." She calmed down a little. " Oh" I said quietly. ten I just hugged her the rest of the way home.
