The Dark Secrets

New York, 13 August 2026. 11:00 pm at the airport.

Blair, Rachel and Mason were on a mission to catch Jackson and his crew, since they've tried to catch him for the past 4 years with no luck. There were times where they almost caught him but he ended up always escaping and going into hiding, like a little rat, so there wouldn't be any evidence of his presence.

Currently, Blair, Rachel and Mason were in the New York airport to try and catch him, this was their best shot after months.

"Mason go behind the box with the weapons and Rachel you immobilise everyone that can mess up the plan, I'm going for Jackson, this is our only chance so don't mess this up" Blair whispered. Mason and Rachel nodded in agreement.

They parted ways, following the plan. Mason went left to the place where the boxes were while Rachel went right to disarm and put down anyone that could mess up the plan. Meanwhile, Blair went for Jackson who was giving orders to the people around. She walks towards the place while trying not to be noticed, but that didn't really work out. Jackson's crew turn around with guns in their hands pointing at Blair, then two men arrive with Rachel and Mason throwing them next to Blair on the floor unconscious. Jackson turns around laughing.

"You really thought this was the time where you caught me? I don't think so, till next time, little bird" Jackson said. He turned around and left with his crew. Before the last men left, he knocked out Blair so she wouldn't follow them.

She woke up about 40 minutes later, she was on the floor still at the airport. Once she managed to open her eyes, she felt blood running down her forehead and a slight headache. When she remembered what just happened she looked around, Mason and Rachel were there grunting already conscious. Blair shouts and hits the floor with her fist realizing they've lost Jackson once again, and that she had failed.

"I can't believe that we let him go again!"

"Blaire, calm down, there will be other chances" said Mason to Blair, trying to calm her down. He really didn't know why she took it so personal.

Blaire looked at Mason with an angry look "Really? Will there? We've tried for years to catch him and we've failed over and over again, all of them." Blaire said with annoyance in her voice.

"C'mon let's just get out of here and go back home" said Rachel patting Blaire's back softly.

They all returned to the headquarters and parted ways to their rooms. When Blair was turning around a corner she bumped into something, no, into someone.

"Hey cupcake"

"Aagghhh, shut up Nicholas" Blaire said rolling her eyes.

"Ooooo someone's angry" Nick said, pouting.

"You're really annoying, did you know that?"

"Awwww is my princess hurt?"

"I'm not your princess.....shrek" Blaire whispered the last part so he wouldn't hear but to her joy he did hear her.

"¡Hey!, what did you just call me?"

Blaire walked to her room ignoring him, Nick following after her.

Nick rested his body on the doorframe while Blaire went to the bathroom and put her hair in a ponytail. She had cleaned the blood from her forehead some time before but now it was flooding again and it clouded her vision a little.

Nick frowned, questioning what had happened but he bit his tongue to prevent him from asking.

"Did my Fiona fail her mission?" Nick said sarcastically. (A/N. If you didn't understand the part were he called her Fiona, well we were referring to the princess Fiona from the movie Shrek since she called him shrek moment ago)

"I did not fail, we were outnumbered and without weapons! They took us by surprise" Blair argued, questioning how they knew they were there. It was the perfect plan and he still got away, again. She thought.

"Oh admit it, you failed but don't worry, there's a first time for everything" Nick said with his famous smirk and a wink that Blaire knew her whole life. She looked at him through the bathroom's mirror narrowing her eyes.

She scoffed annoyed at the comment he had just made.

He then left her room leaving her to clean her wound alone. Once she had a clean forehead, she put her pajamas on and headed towards her bed since she didn't want to speak with anyone at the moment.

That night Blaire couldn't sleep thinking about their ambush and how Jackson knew they were coming. She repeated the words he said in her mind "till next time, little bird".
