Part 4-The confession

Todoroki P.O.V.

Shit! What have I done! This is bad, this is really bad! He will find out my secret. And then I'll have to move again! Think Shoto, think!

I looked at the green-haired boy. 

"Oh crap, he's waking up! What do I do?!"

The boy groaned and slighty opened his eyes. 

"W-What, where am I." 

Then his sight fell on me.

"Wha-W-W-Who are you?!" he stuttered.

I wasn't able to respond. I was still panicking.

"Oh wait, you are the boy from the portrait. Uh wait, I think I saw you at the gate. The last thing I remember was that I felt severe pain in my neck."

He touched his neck with his hand. His hand was right on the wound. As he looked at his hand he got chocked.

"B-Blood, what!"

"I-Im so sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you. I-I...I don't know what happened. I got out of control, I'm sorry..." I looked away to not meet his glance. I stared at the ground in shame. "I was about to treat your wounds. Here, take this patch and wash the wound with this napkin."

"Uh, thank you. But what do you mean by "I didn't mean to hurt me", did you cause the wound?"

"W-well, I couldn't control my bloodlust, I haven't had human blood for over 100 years now. And your blood smelled so good. I apologize."

"What do you mean by bloodlust? A-are you a-a-... vampire?"

"Uh no no, I'm not a vampire, I'm just, uh, a normal human." I saw that he looked on his phone. And then a strong flash came out of it. I backed back. I covered my eyes, they did hurt because of the sudden light."

"Y-You're not in the picture. A-and I cant see your reflection in the windows, only mine..."

"I can explain! It's just bad light, that's all!"

"But the camera flash?"

"Urgh, it's no use trying to hide it. Yes, yes I'm a vampire but I really didn't want to hurt you. Please don't tell anyone about me. The humans will hunt me and I'll have to move again! Please, I swear I would never hurt anyone on purpose!"

"A-a vampire, but those do not exist. How is it possible? I thought they were just a myth."

"That's because we're hiding from the humans. Almost all vampires got killed. I and my family are one of the few remaining. Most vampires from the middle age were cruel bloodsuckers. It's their fault that we have such a bad reputation. But I don't drink human blood, at least not that often. I hunt animals instead. But please don't tell my secret to anyone."

"O-oh sure, if you won't hurt me or anyone else I promise I won't tell anyone."

"Thank you. I really appreciate it. But if you tell anyone...Then I wouldn't have any other choice than to make sure that you won't be able to get in my way anymore..."
