It was 1:22am when I walked down in a creepy, dark, hollow street. Teeth gnashing, joints shaking and my eyes seems getting round and it can’t help turning from left to right. All comes in my mind was the movie I just watch earlier entitled “The Conjuring”. I don’t know why I love to watch creepy movies. In fact, I’m a coward. My adrenaline seems to work as I heard dogs howling. I don’t understand why I just can’t run. Then suddenly, I stopped as I saw a black, spooky cat. I just remember what my grandma told me that when you saw a black cat at night, there’s something strange may happen to you. Then I was like . . . “HUUUUUHP!” when I saw a hand on my shoulder. My sight became blurry and I fell down on the ground.
“Where am I?” These are the words I spoke as I woke up. It seems like I’ve been asleep for a long time. All I could feel was stiffness on my neck and a little body pain.
“Oh! How are you?”
“Angela? Why am I here? What happened?” I rattly asked.
“This is my grandma’s crib. I took you here when I saw you so weird at the street, 100m away from here. Just asked yourself what happened.” Angela replied.
I’m trying to remember what really happened but only the movie “The Conjuring” comes in my mind.
Then suddenly, the door opened. And there comes an old woman wearing black suit with her threatening eyes and messy hair.
“Waaaah!” I gently screamed.
“Hey! She’s my grandma”
“What? Grandma? She’s a cat! I’m sure she’s the black cat I saw last night.” I whispered.
“Can you please stop?” Angela replied and she walked out.
“I’ve prepared some foods for you.” Her grandma said.
“Thank you Grandma.” I replied.
“You’re Jeremy, right?”
“Yes I am. How did you know?”
She smiled at me. “Come on, let’s have breakfast.
Angela seems so quiet as we ate. I think she’s mad at me about what I said earlier about her grandma. Actually, I want to see Angela cheesed-off. Angela was the cutest woman when she’s not in her mood. When you look at her, you’ll be mesmerized by her gracious eyes.
Since we were high school, her smile was rarely seen. She’s so beautiful inside and out. I teased her “Campus crush”, every time there’s someone who says hi or hello to her. “LOL” that’s the only word I could hear from her as a response to my tease. Lot of guys dying to know her name, most of them wants to court Angela, my Angela. I admit, I have deep feelings to Angela. But I’m afraid to tell her what I really feel. I remember our J.S. PROM, as the romantic music plays, I walked towards Angela. Then suddenly there’s someone asked her hand to dance. And when I saw them dancing, it breaks my heart.
Ding Dong!
“Oh! Harry, you’re so early. Have a seat, let’s eat” Angela’s greetings.
“Is it Angela’s boyfriend?” I whispered to Grandma.
“Suitor, I don’t like him.”
“But why?”
“His 100% self-confidence makes me feel annoyed. “
“Good morning Grandma.” Harry said.
Then he looked at me. “And you are…?”
“He’s Jeremy, my friend.” Angela answered.
“Oh! Jeremy. I’m Harry. I may look like Harry Styles of “One Direction”, but I’m Harry Lopez .Some people called me Brad Pitt, I just don’t know why.” Harry said.
While he’s talking, his phone ringed.
“Signal #4 approaching.” I murmured.
“What? Photoshoot? Okay, I’ll be there at exactly 9:00 am. Huh? Autograph signing? Alright, I’ll be there. Bye.” Harry on his phone call.
“You’re so busy huh?” I said.
“Yup. This is my life. Sometimes, I’m trying to be ugly but I can’t. It’s so hard to be handsome based on my experienced. By the way, I need to go. Bye Angela, bye Grandma, bye Jimmy.”
“It’s Jeremy!” I exclaimed.
