There was a young boy who loved his father fairly much and his mother just the same. His father was an honoured knight, and because of this he had copious amounts of money and was friends with the king. The boy’s name was Garvin and he was nine and a half-for the half was always included because it made the boy feel older, stronger and bolder which made him glad which made him feel a step further into becoming a knight just like his father. His father gave him tips like how to duck and jump at the right time. He was also taught how to dodge from some attacks.

The father had to go out of town to do a jousting tournament. Garvin was pessimistic about this but his father said that he’ll be back to show him some more techniques and talk about things from the competition and that made Garvin pleased and extremely happy about this and father promised when he got back he’ll give him something. And Garvin was wondering just what it was going to be.

His father packed everything he needed-which was not to much and went on his way to the jousting tournament.  Garvin practiced and fought against the wooden manikin which was easy to defeat because it just stood still, beside the fact that when he hit it with his wooden sword it would move quite a bit then move back to its place. The wooden manikin was used for Garvin’s “training.” The boy asked and begged for it until he got it on his ninth birthday. The manikin was fought by Garvin everyday. The figure is starting to tire because day-to-day Garvin would “practice” using his wooden sword and challenged the wooden dummy, he would use alot of his strength and leave a scar on the wooden figure. The manikin wore a thin light green vest and had a filthy broom held in its left hand, it had black nail eyes and its body was a rough light brown. It had gashes and scars left by the wooden sword and the vest had four small different colours of patches left there because of the wooden swords slashes. Yet, the boy still practiced thinking in his head about being a knight someday and also thinking of his dad at the jousting tournament.

“Let us stop there shall we?” Franco said stopping the story. “If you wish to sir.”“Your writing is close to perfect but I will accept that, and your ideas are conducive and efficient also you can keep up with the pace of my voice. You are hired!”“Am I sir?”“Why yes, of course! You’ve met the needs of what is required.”“I thank you ever so much sir!”“Since you are my new scribe you shall no longer call me sir you can call me Franco or Felibia whatever you wish! We shall continue the story tomorrow Mr.Dancom.”“Very well sir..er..Franco. ” To Jonathan calling his new boss Franco or Felibia didn’t seem as right but that was what he desired and so that is what it should be.

I came home to tell my sister about my new job. She was very excited and she asked me if it paid well. “Why yes! It pays better than my last few jobs. My last few jobs were not quite a pleasing so I quit them hoping to find another job. This job was pleasant so I hope to look forward to it in the future.
