Chapter Ten

Akashi Tetsuya POV

I can't wait for tomorrow. Me and Aomine-kun made a promise to meet each other tomorrow. I can't wait for him and hope he'll invite his friend too.

"Tetsuya-chin, Akashi-chin is calling for you". "Thank you very much, Murasakibara-san".

I wonder what will Father say, but, I think I got bad feelings of it.

I swam very slowly down this big castle. Although this big castle is my house. I've never been down the entire contents of this castle. All my 16 years old I spent with wondering when I'll see a human and make a friendship with them. Maybe not really all of my life I spent to it, I could say 'almost' every time I spent to wondering it.

"Kuroko Tetsuya, Come here!"

"Yes, Father".

We're deep in really serious conversation decided my future. It's rare to see Father spent his time for me.

After a while, he asked me an odd question.

"Did you made a friendship with human?"

I'm freezing. I know Father's emperor eye can see me if I'm lied. I tell the truth. All of the truth. After heard my story he seems piss off, really piss off.

"Back to your room and you aren't allow to leave your room". I want to refuse it. But, Father stare to me sharply. "My orders are absolute, Tetsuya".

I bow to him full of remorse.

"I'm really sorry Aomine-kun". I apologize to him after telling why I did not show myself for a full week. He nod seems understand my feelings. He ask to me curiously.

"Why your Father really hate human?" I knew he'll ask for it. I take a deep breath and start telling the short story.

I got this story from my Mother.

Long time ago, my great grandfather, he's my Father grandfather, Akashi Hitoshi. He's a really authoritative mermaid and respected by every mermaids. He only had one son who already married and had one son too, that's my father. And my father had one son too, that's me.

When my father was 10 years old, my great grandfather accidentally stranded on the coast. A man founded him and helped him. That man was really kind and they became a best friend.

They've been made a best friendship for like a month. But, that man was really weak and died because sick. All people in village thought that was mermaids false. So, they start hunted mermaid. Twenty percent of mermaids was killed by The Hunter.  Not really much, but, Father's grandparents and his mother killed too. For a ten years old boy, lost his mother made him really hate human.

And since then, he became king and made a rules there's no one who not allowed to made a friendship or approach humanity.

I ended up my story with a heavy sigh. He seems so down when know althe truth behind all of this is humanities. He nod and we made a small conversation.

Unexpected five minutes was already came. He need to make a decision.

"I choose..." He said gently.
