"Anomaly?" Allisa stood firm, her sword Excalibur glistening between her and the stranger. "What do you mean by that?"
"I mean we don't belong in this place. It's trying its hardest to reject us from-" The man paused, looking back and forth between the girls narrowing his eyes. "You can ease up. I mean you no harm."
"Give us one good reason why we should believe that?" Natalie asked.
"Well for one I'm not attacking you,"
She had not unsummoned her angel sight seeing him as he was in the flesh just as his head covered the glistening light that shuns from the other end of the alley, this allowed her to make out the red color of his eyes and she only felt that bit more uneasy. His smile was innocently indifferent like he will humor their cold accusation.
"Why don't we start with names. My name is Orba. Would it be a stretch to assume that you'd not even believe that I'm telling the truth with something as simple as a name?"
Both Allisa and Natalie fell silent. Taking this as his answer the stranger calling himself Orba snorted in amusement to himself, his wavy black hair swayed a little to the gesture before continuing.
"In truth, I'd really hoped to keep myself in the shadows, but at this rate, you are going to bring us all down with your antics."
"What do you mean by that?" Allisa asked.
Orba gave a near exasperated sigh, "You know I hoped that the state this place had become after her little heart to heart would have at latest gotten you past such simple questions so we can get to the interesting stuff,"
Allisa was about to protest but Natalie beat her to it with a thundering shot of electricity from her arm. It struck a pole besides Orba who attempted to take a step forward at that moment. The shock from contact with the pole left a shower of sparks bouncing off the walls and raining down on Orba who froze in place.
"Ever since you've shown yourself you have been avoiding half our questions," Natalie said in a flat tone.
"Well...that depends on your definition of 'avoiding'," he said, "Though based on how touchy you are I get the feeling you won't believe me regardless,"
Natalie could now make out the purple of his tunic, the crisscross of black leather-wrapped up and around his still held upright hand, and the silhouette of a pommel and crossguard by his shoulder.
"Hands by your side," Natalie said, she gestured to the sword hilt by his hand making sure that she was crystal clear on what she meant.
With a weak shrug, he obliged.
"Now tell me what you meant before," she demanded.
"About you making it harder for us to leave? I could but it's a long story,"
"Shorten it," she spat out, recalling her earlier problem however shook her head to herself. "No, before that tell me why I can't see your aura?".
Allisa took a moment to look at Natalie from the corner of her eye before re-adjusting her stance. Almost, in contrast, Orba looked more relaxed by this comment as he raked his hand through his damp, purple wavy hair.
