The whole night neither Anu nor her Didun could get a wink.Mini and Sarala Devi came along with Anu to the airport for see off. Anu boarded the flight and after almost 18 hours of long time, she reached London. Her parents were already waiting for her at the checkpost. They hugged her on meeting.

Mrs. Banerjee:  It's been so long since I saw you. We are so sorry but our work kept us busy. Now you are going to be with us all  the time.                                                                                                                     Mr. Banerjee: Yes Koyel, the work pressure was terrible. We really wanted to be there for you.

Anu gave a meek smile and got in the car. They exchanged some rather formal conversations in the car to avoid the trail of awkward silence every now and then.

Mrs. Banerjee (On the phone): Yes, absolutely. Don't worry about us. We will be there and that too on time. See you there.                                                                                                                                                Anu : Maa would you two be away today as well ?                                                                                                   Mrs. Banerjee : We are so sorry Shona but we could not refuse their Invitation. But don't worry, we three are going to have a great time at the party.                                                                                                    Anu ( interrupting her) : But Maa, you know na, I don't like parties. Baba, please I don't want to come along with you guys. Plus I'm so tired after the long journey. All I want to do right now is sleep. The jet lag is making me feel sicker. I want to stay at home today. Next time I'll come, promise.                                                                                                                                                                                     Mr. Banerjee : It won't be much of an issue. I promise. The party is in the evening. It's 7 in the morning right now. It's gonna be fine. They are a high profile client maa , try to understand.             Smita: I totally agree with your father. You might make new friends there as well. You never know(* wink*).

Anu  ended up going  to the party. She wore a teal sleeveless dress. With her caramel skin and dark brown eyes, she looked divine. Her parents introduced her to some of the people at the party and then they got busy chatting with them. Anu slid away from the scene and went to the terrace.

She took a sip of her mock-tail and let out a deep sigh. She was checking out her phone for new messages when she heard the voice of guy with a strong British accent , having a rough conversation with someone over the phone. The guy came near and stood next to her, still busy on the phone. She looked at her from sideways. He looked rather familiar but she knew pretty well that she had never seen him before. He had a smoky and tempting, a little high pitched voice, his eyes were bluer than the ocean. His hair was slicked back. The tattoos on his fingers were playing hide and seek with his beige over-sized trench coat. Out of everything, the thing that fascinated Anu the most was his voice. It was so tempting, she felt like she could hear it all day.
