Chapter 5: Naruto's Alone Time

Naruto left his bag beside the door, then walked to the kitchen. He opened the fridge, then sees it empty. A sweat went down his face, then he sighs. He closed the fridge, then walked up to his bag. He bended down to get it, until something fell out of his jacket pocket, he blinked, then picked it up. He then remembered it was the job note Lady Tsunade gave him.

Oh... Naruto unfolds it, then sees a phone number on the bottom of the paper.

But I don't have a phone... Naruto thought, then an idea popped up in his head.

Naruto kept knocking. The door opened, which appeared to be Lady Tsunade.

"Naruto?" She spoke in confusion.

"Sup, Granny Tsunade!" Naruto smiled.

"What do you need at this time?" She asked ass he looked at her watch seen it strike 4pm.

"Even if I have bad grades, can I still take the job?" Naruto asked.

"Well, since it's not a serious job, you can I guess, but it's best to have good grades first to make them think you're a good student" She replied.

"What does that mean...?" Naruto squinted his eyes from the last part she said.

"Anyways, I got a meeting right now with the damn elders" She mumbled.

"Aw man, can I borrow your phone real quick?" Naruto begs as he put his hands together.

"Hm' She thought about it, then took out her phone from her shirt, [who knows where she keeps it]

"Here" She passed it.

"Thanks!" Naruto grabbed it, then puts the numbers in.

She watched him.

"What do you think I should say?" Naruto asked.

"Hm...just say if they're hiring now" She replied.

Naruto let's out a sigh. He was about to call them, but then someone else was calling. He stared at the name.

Jiraiya...? Naruto squinted his eyes.

She grabs the phone off him. Then looked at it, she lets out a quiet groan, then answers the call. She stared at the distance as Naruto heard muttered talking from her phone.

"Yes, I'll be there" She growled.

Naruto just looked around awkwardly not knowing what to do. She nodded slightly, then sighs. She hangs up.

"Sorry, Naruto, I have to go there ASAP" She announced.

"Oh..." Naruto whispers.

"Why not go to Sasuke's place? You need to help him get the interview anyways, since you're both taking it" She gave him an option.

"Oh, sure!" Naruto smiled, then turned.

He walked off, but then paused.

"Say uh, lady Tsunade, Wheres his place?" Naruto asked as he scratched his head.

Naruto walked on the path, he made sure to wear his orange hoodie to hide his face from Gaara and his delinquent siblings if they were around. Then he stopped by a house. He looked down at the paper, then back up at the house. He sighs, then puts the address in his pocket. He knocks on the door, he waited, then hears footsteps. The door opened, revealing Sasuke.
