Karlie's POV.
Taylor looked so fragile staring into space, her beautiful smile hidden by pain. A young nurse who must have been younger than myself
walked into the small room, pulling the old vintage curtains around us. "So Miss Swift?" The nurse questioned, causing Taylor to fake a laugh, before making eye contact with me. "It's actually Mrs Kloss."
The nurse quickly looked up at me giving me a small smile, before checking Taylor's notes, mumbling various non understandable things to herself. Taylor gave the nurse a odd look before returning to her blank staring at the wall, which she had been doing previously.

"So I'm going to do an ultrasound, I'm sorry to tell you this but there's a high chance there won't be a heartbeat or any baby now." The young woman whispered, sorrow lingering in her voice. With those words my heart shattered into a thousand pieces, Taylor wanted this baby so bad just for it to be taken away from her, taken away from us. Everything happens for a reason apparently because it's God's chosen path for you, but what sort of God gives you hope and happiness just to rip it away from you so quickly.

Taylor's hand grasped mine as the nurse poured the clear gel, on Taylor's stomach. Now that I had seen her stomach for the first time in three months you could tell where the small bump was appearing, which caused me to start choking on the tears I had been holding in. A faint heartbeat became apparent in the silent room, causing the tears to remain held in, Taylor's hand gripped mine tighter. "Karlie? Look!" Taylor excitedly pointed to the monitor where a small blob had appeared. "Does this mean she hasn't miscarried?" I asked aloud aiming at the nurse.

The nurses expression changed from happy to concerned in a matter of moments, as she continued to search the ultrasound. "There's two sacs, which means you were carrying twins. So I'm really sorry to tell you this but you still have miscarried. But this little one is fine so you should have a very healthy pregnancy."

The nurse wiped Taylor's stomach down and left the room. "I'm sorry Taylor. It's my fault that you lost one of the babies you should've just left me on that dance floor."

Silence was all I got in response. And silence never hurt so bad.

A/N - Again a short chapter but the next chapter is really, really long so it'll make up for it.
