Mr. Cheese woke up, The Gentleman still asleep. His bandage was soaked through with blood. Although things were fine now, Mr. Cheese couldn't stop thinking about the day before. Does The Gentleman really want him to disappear?
No, no. That can't be right. He wouldn't have been so concerned if he meant what he said.
Mr. Cheese crawled out of bed, careful to not wake up the Gentleman. He went over to the kitchen and started making pancakes, hoping the gentleman would feel better after the whole incident, he did feel really bad.
Soon the gentleman woke up, smelling the sweet scent of pancakes, secretly his favorite food. He rubbed his eyes and got out of bed. He walked over to the kitchen to find Mr. Cheese cooking.
"Mr. Cheese..?" The gentleman questioned as he walked in.
"Ah, good morning the gentleman! I'm almost done!" Mr. Cheese said, ushering him to sit down.
The Gentleman sat down at the dining table and watched Mr. Cheese make pancakes. Soon, he put 3 of them in a plate and handed it to The Gentleman. They were so fluffy and covered in syrup. Always been The Gentleman's favorite.
"Uhm..Thank you Mr. Cheese."
"No problem!" Mr cheese said. He tried to sound happy but something was bothering him and The Gentleman noticed.
"Mr Cheese? Are you okay?" The Gentleman asked, he was concerned, scared for what mr. cheese may do.
"Oh, I'm fine The Gentleman!" Mr. Cheese said. He tried to be peppy, but he still sounded off. Mr. Cheese sat at the table with The Gentleman, but he didn't eat. He just picked at it with his fork.
"Okay Mr. Cheese. I know somethings wrong. What's wrong, beanie boy?" The Gentleman asked, scooting his chair over to Mr. Cheese.
"I-I'm fine..." Mr. Cheese said, looking sad.
"Mr cheese..." The Gentleman said.
"I'm just..upset about yesterday...Do you really want me to disappear...?"Mr. Cheese's eyes filled with tears as he spoke. His voice was soft and gentle.
"Beanie boy..no, I don't want you to disappear. I was just being stupid and petty. I meant NOTHING by it." The Gentleman said, looking at Mr. Cheeses eyes, who were dripping tears.
It was silent for a minute. Before Mr. Cheese broke down into a hard sob.
"Mr. Cheese..come here.." The Gentleman opened his arms and urged Mr. Cheese into them. He held him as he calmed down. Usually, The Gentleman never gave hugs or cuddles. So this was new to him.
Mr. Cheese composed himself enough to mutter "I'm sorry.."
"Sorry for what Mr. Cheese?" The Gentleman asked.
"I shouldn't be crying over the past.." he said, sniffling.
"Mr. Cheese, it's okay. I'm the one who should be sorry. I should have never said that to you. You didn't deserve it." The Gentleman said, giving Mr. Cheese a small kiss on the head.
"I love you, The Gentleman.." Mr. Cheese muttered.
"I love you too, beanie boy."
I love you, I promise.
