"Hey nina." You looked down at your juvenile sister.  You smiled at her, but deep down- "Hey! hey! hey!" The girl cheered looking up into your happy eyes. "How was school?" You asked as you made your way to you and your sisters shared room. "Mm? boring like always!" The girl sighed falling into your shared bed. "Dont worry. I'll find a job soon to feed us real good alright? I'll get enough money to make your birthday a blast too! That will make it up to you!" You looked at your younger sister for a response. "What happened to your savings?" The girl asked. "I wasted the money on food, so dont you dare eat all that food like a pig!" You threatened your younger sister while pointing your index finger at her. A couple of seconds went past of dead silence before you both began to giggle.

"I promise nina..one day..one day we'll leave this small apartment, and have a real home.. that isnt recked up! Haha!"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Come on! come on!" Your sister dragged you to the park. Jeez why did you agree to bring her to the park agian? Oh that's right..because shes 10..and shes so independent, she has lots of things in her shoulders..and doesn't get to have the childhood normal kids have, this is the least you could do, it's not like the park costs money to play at.
"Ok we'll leave in 2 hours! Dont talk to strangers ok!" You crossed your arms, looking at the girl with a wary face. The girl simply nodded and ran to the park.
Nina was used to this. The way you talked to her. You were like her mom. You even consider yourself her own mom. After all..you dont have any parents to take care of you.
You looked around squinting your eyes to find somewhere to sit down. Your eyes widened swiftly.
Holy shit!!
You looked even harder to make sure you weren't seeing things. Is that really Armin?
"Armin!?" You inquired with a half laughing and half shocked face. The boy looked up from whatever he was reading. You could see a bit of blow in his eyes before he relaxed his face again. "Y-y/n? hello." Armin didnt lose eye contact for a second so you decided to break it because it was beginning to get awkward. "Can I sit next to you?" You asked while deeming at the wide space next to armin on the bench. "Sure." Armin soundlessly hushed, you could still hear his response and sat down next to the blonde. "What are you reading?" You asked leaning closer to him so you could get a better view of the book.
Armins instant reaction was shock. His face was red and sweat trickled down his temples, his breath became uneven. He decided to play it off cool so you wouldn't notice his awkward expression. "This." Armin flipped the book to reveal the front cover. Your eyes widened at the sight, you were stunned looking at the book you stared in amazement.
"WOW You read that book!?"
"Yeah! do you!?"
"Yeah I do!"
You yanked the book away from the boy. He didnt mind it all though.
"Wow you have volume 10!" You looked at the book with light in your eyes. "Yeah what volumes do you have?" Armin asked you while looking at the book in your hands. "I have volume 9! but I cant find volume 10 anywhere." You sighed handing the book back to armin with a disappointed expression. "W-well..i..I already finished the book..I was just re-reading it if you'd like..you can borrow it and give it back to me when you finish!" Armin looked at you with a naive smile.
Hes so...kind?!
"What? N-no I wouldn't wanna bother you!" You shoved the book onto his stomach softly. You looked away, your face now colored velvet. "Your not! its a thank you gift, for helping me in the cafeteria today, when everyone was teasing me." Armin handed you the book kindly looking deep into your e/c eyes. "Fine if you wont stop budging me about it ill borrow it then....uh!thanks new kid." You gave him a thankful sneer with blush spread across your cheecks.
"Um y/n is this your boyfriend?" Your orbs became heavy and your throat hitched, you slowly looked down at your sister infront of you with a little girl. "NINA! N-no hes not." You flicked the girls head. "shes your girlfriend isnt she cousin?"
Cousin?
You looked at the girl next to your own sister. She was asking armin that question. "No stop it ari! Shes a classmate!" The boy crossed his arms and looked away from your direction. Scared to face you. "This is your cousin?" You pointed at the girl next to your sister. "Y-yeah I brought her to the park, sorry about her shes really nosey." Armin rubbed a strand of his hair against 2 of his fingers. "Wow look at that ari! My sister and your cousin know each other! We were meant to be best friends!" Your sister brought the girl into a tight hug. "Mhmm!" Ari hummed in response to your sister's words with a big smile.
"Well, we should get going..t-thanks for the book armin." You politely bowed. "No problem I hope you like the ending." Armin giggled also standing up. He grabbed his cousins wrists. "I'm sure I will! I'll probably finish it quickly so you'll have it in no time, I promise." You smiled while you began walking.
Walking away you waved at armin. He and his cousin were pretty far away from you now, but still close enough for you both to hear eachother.
"Bye armin!"
"B-bye y/n!!"
You walked with your sister besides you  looking down at the book armin let you borrow, you smiled to yourself without even realizing it.
"Hm..Thanks new kid!"
Thanks..
Armin!
