A few hours later, Thomas woke up feeling down. Minho is never going to see me again. He thought not wanting to open his eyes to see the harsh reality just yet. His eyes fluttered open seeing all the machines and wires attached to him, and Minho? The boy had come back. He was just sitting there with his head down like he had never left at all.
"Minho?" Thomas asked, his voice hoarse. No response came from the taller boy in the chair. Minho looked up slowly and dully. Thomas saw the pain in his eyes. Minho was afraid of rejection just as he was.
"Minho, I. " Thomas paused trying to think of the words that might be able to fix everything, but nothing came to his mind. His mind was trying to think of solutions but he kept coming up with nothing. They stared at each other for a few minutes before Minho walked out of the room leaving Thomas alone again with his thoughts. Why hadn't he said anything? Why did everything seem to be falling apart? Was it his fault for ignoring Minho? Thomas laid down and thought about everything and it seemed to be over. It felt like they were no longer friends.

"What is wrong with me? Minho said aloud in his car. He wanted to punch something, break something even. He sat there for a moment thinking about what had just happened. He went up there for his keys but ended up sitting there for 20 minutes wanting and wishing for Thomas to wake up. When he did Minho panicked and ran as fast as he could to get out, now realizing he could have talked to Thomas.
"It would be too awkward now." Minho said, calming down slowly. "If I just talked to him, I wouldn't be in this mess." Minho decided to drive home knowing that tomorrow he would go back and talk to Thomas.
