two lovers dressed in white sit atop a shelf
where we remember we pledged to be together

ache of a storm pressing tight against my lungs
and our i love you's louder than the thunder of
a million different kinds of roaring storms
hold our glasses tight take a toast for forever
love me forever in paths down our loving gardens
summer gardens fade into fall and we are still
in love and it is young love but we know it
won't fade like how flowers have seasons and
that change is inevitable but we'll work with time
honeybees and snickerdoodles rain against the window
i love you's louder than the ache of a storm by my lungs
