((This little story is for a new friend of mine!~ Georgia, I hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed what you did for me!~ ^w^ Now without further ado, Georgia and Bradley!~))
((And to anyone else watching this, all of the art in this is by Georgia herself! ))
Campus was beautiful in the spring, especially that day.
The weather was warm, neither hot nor cold, with just the faintest of breezes. Said breeze lightly shook the newly awakened trees, bright green and flowering in some cases, giving the outside world a serene feel to it. All was peaceful; even the rowdy fraternities behaved for the day which was far from usual. Nonetheless, it was a gorgeous spring day.~
Now, this was the kind of day where people sought out peace and quiet.
And that was exactly what young miss Georgia was doing.~
It was a Friday afternoon; clases, for the most part, had been let out, freeing their students for the next couple of days. Having no homework that needed done right away, Georgia had made a brief stop at her dorm to grab her ukelele and drop off her school bag before heading out again in search of a quiet place. It was too nice outside to stay indoors, anyways!
So she hurried out of the dormitory building and made her way toward the park, not far from the campus library. A small smile played at her lips as she quietly strode down the near-empty sidewalk. She felt at ease as the pond came into view, the sun shining softly off the surface. Then, as she scanned the area, she spotted a shady spot under a dogwood tree, looking almost as though it were her own perfect little paradise waiting just for her. Her little smile stretched a bit further up her cheeks as she sauntered over. The grass was soft under her feet, and felt even softer when she sat down beneath the tree.
With every gust of the gentle wind, more petals would fall from the flower-filled branches, cascading down all around her. To the few pedestrians that saw her, she looked like a little princess or fairy, blissfully blessing the earth with her quiet grace. They'd then walk away either smiling or envious...
Once she was settled in a comfy spot, she pulled her little instrument from its case. She took a moment to silently admire her precious possession before readying herself for a bit of practice. Still softly grinning to herself, Georgia took a deep breath before strumming a few chords to warm up before truly playing. She did this for several minutes, quietly getting used to the strings and tuning them when needed. Once she was satisfied, she began to play a sweet sounding song.
Now, it was about this time when a certain somebody came strolling along, a berry-colored sweater tied lazily around his shoulders. After a day filled with boring, business-related classes, Bradley needed some time to himself, a luxury unattainable in a frat house. So he came here, silently wandering around and checking out the scenery. He didn't tend to think too much about the appearance of the campus grounds, but this area in particular was a good exception. The place was well kept, and since the other Gammas didn't care much about it, Bradley could escape there for a while.
