in the innocent age of nine, violeta santana witnessed her father shooting and killing her mother. getting out under the eye of her abusive aunt and her father thrown in jail, her life was in shambles at the pure age of nine.
she was ordered to go to court and speak to the judge, as she was the only witness.
that was the last time violeta saw her father. his dark skin caught her eye the moment she stepped into the room. he didn't speak to her and she didn't try to speak to him. he sat there in the standard prison uniform with his legs tied up together and his hands cuffed together.

violeta looks back on that horrid winter. she hates winter. the cold air, snow, trembling constantly. more important the date. december fourth, that month was always hard for her since the death of her beloved mother.

when violeta finished giving her statement, she went mute. not talking a lick to anybody, everyone tried, thinking she was only putting on a show; but all she did was look at said person with her big brown eyes.
a couple weeks into living at her aunts house, the women got abusive. she got frustrated everyday because violeta didn't speak to her, to anyone. saying she was an ungrateful child and she deserves nothing.
those words would circle violetas mind for the next few years. the hitting never stopped, and she never tried to stop it; she thought she deserved her punishment.

the date was august second, her birthday, she turned 15. walking back home to her aunt, ready to finish her chores, home work and watch tv. she walked into her aunts room, to ask about the horrid smell circling the house when she found her aunt on the floor, in a pool of blood. violeta saw that she shot herself in the mouth, the bullet piercing through her head and exiting through the back of her head.

this is it, violeta thought. this is my escape.

she left the same day with two book bags full of essentials for living on the street.
she wasn't going to report, and then having to go through the dreadful process of court meetings.

she lived on the street for a good couple months, begging for scraps.
she lived in a dark alley no one uses. it had no use for anyone so she let herself get comfortable.

at the nine month mark of her living on the streets, she was picked up by some men in black suits.
she was sleeping when she saw large figures hovering over her, then going unconscious.

she found herself on a operating table, strapped down with only her bra and underwear.
she screamed in pain everytime they would experiment with her body.
she caught the hydra logo sometime inbetween the shuffling to her new 'room' and cringed.

it was everyday, they would train her, experiment with her powers.
her name was project 163, she would never forget that name ever in her life. whispered into her ear like a sin.

in one of their many, many test, violeta gained the power of telekinesis and camouflage.
she was thrown in missions left to right. sometimes too physically exhausted to move out of her poor excuse of a bed.
trained with languages, combat, various of karate, and computer operations.
for years the hydra agents trained her to be the best assassin the word had ever seen.

she planned it very precise.
go on the mission, catch target, send the ready to go sign to hydra, then take the tracker out of her arm so she can flee to another country far enough where she couldn't be found.

she changed her whole appearance, anything hydra had done, she changed. wore contacts for a couple years, wigs, nose piercings, tattoos. everything.
she started doing street fights to get money. quickly, it turned into a side hustle when someone spotted her in one of the fights and hired her.

everyone who stepped in her path, said she was filled with venom. never backs down from a challenge and is known to be lethal, or she didn't have one good bone in her body.
violeta slightly agreed.

she lived as a vigilante until now.
when they picked her up.
